"Spectacular stay in an amazing corner of the world"

10.0

From the moment we checked in for our Air Swift flight, we knew that this was going to be a holiday to remember. Our stay was flawless. The transfer to the resort was smooth and was all part of the experience with excellent views along the way. We were greeted with smiling faces and a welcome song and drinks with an overview of the resort before being showed to our room. We stayed in the beachfront cottage #128. It was lovely and clean and quite modern. This room is the closest to the pool and the restaurant which we loved. The view from the balcony was amazing however was slightly blocked from some shrubs which we didn't really mind. If you want an unobstructed view ask for a room a little further away from the pool. The tours were all amazing. We did both tour 1 and tour 2 as well as a private tour. All three were fantastic however if you are only there for a short time I would recommend either tour 2 or the private boat. The cliffs and beaches are excellent. Food is good. The buffet food changes daily and there's a good selection that will meet most people's tastes. The al a carte menu doesn't change but there is a good number of options so unless you're staying a very long time you don't really have to double up. Service is excellent. Amazing. I have never been anywhere where you can be greeted so warmly wherever you go. It is quite expensive compared to the resort options on the mainland but well worth the price. You won't be dissapointed.

Great stay. As always. Palawan never ceases to amaze. Although the room could use some updating the charm and the beauty of el nido won't stop me from returning here.

"A little Paradise"

8.0

Lagen is its own little paradise and while everything looks pretty close on the map, its a bit of a trek to get to. The boat ride takes about 30-45 min from El Nido town. They also offer free shuttle from the airport to El Nido town for the boat pickup so if you're already in El Nido town you should contact them for direct pickup. The resort itself is really nice. The buffet is really good. service is really good. When u stay there u essentially have to book your tours thru them (too far for anything else). One thing that bothered me-for such a nice resort (we paid $$$$ per night), they dont offer anything complimentary. U pay for everything. During every meal, they would come after you like a loan shark and ask u about payments for the bottled water u got, for the juice u ordered, for the soda etc. It was always smack in the middle of your meal so I couldnt have one meal where it was quiet and peaceful. I do understand that its probably the most convenient time to track people down, but it made meals a tad unpleasant. HappyHr was in the afternoon so u could never catch it if ur on a tour. I booked a local fishermen fishing trip. I had a GREAT time. We caught quite a few fish. I said they could just keep the fish but I'd like to taste the fish so maybe a couple fish would be nice. They asked how i would like the fish prepared and later called my room to ask me to pay for it. !!!!!! I spoke to the manager about it and they removed the cost and the tour guide later apologize.

"Beautiful, small resort"

10.0

Overall hotel was great - I would recommend! Food was fine and plentiful, staff was attentive and quick, location is beautiful, facilities are well-kept and clean, and tours/activities are good. Really had a great 4-day stay. The not-as-good: Toiletries are sparse and shower water is brackish so bring your own hair conditioner. Also while transfer from Air Swift to resort is quite smooth, transfer back is like molasses (mostly due to airport size/processes) and so they make you leave hours in advance which is a sad last impression.

"Honeymoon Spot"

8.0

If you are looking to relax and "disappear" this the perfect place for you. The service was great and the staff was always available to help. The Hotel has the whole island, although the activities can be limited/repetitive if you plan to stay long, specially on the evenings.

"Good option for El Nid"

8.0

Lager was a great choice amount the 4 El Nido resorts. It was quiet and great for couples. I would have preferred an ala cart menu instead of the buffet for every meal. Watching the sunset from the bar was great. The activities were great - hire a private boat & leave early to beat the crowds in big & small lagoons. Wish they offered bar/food service by the pool.

"Great location looking out to many islands"

10.0

Suggest you get the all inclusive package with the excursion included. Then you have a real holiday to remember. Miniloc may just have the edge but for nature birds and forest Lagen is the best.

"Best holiday destination"

10.0

Lagen captured our hearts not only with its outmost beauty and serenity but also with the staff which never failed to make us feel comfortable and welcome since day 1. There is something very special with how they treat visitors to the island. Food was excellent but the service was top notch. We could rate it 11/10. Lagen staff was exceptional ( from the time we were pick up from the airport ,to the warm welcome at the resort, to the tourist guides , resort and restaurant staff they are the best). We definitely want to come and recommend coming to Lagen island.
