Lagen Island Resort

We had an amazing stay at El Nido Resorts Lagen Island. This place is truly paradise. You are on a remote island surrounded by breathtaking views and amazing flora and fauna, yet your accommodations are first-class. It is truly the best of both worlds. And in this resort, the staff will go out of their way to make sure you are happy! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, and after the first day they miraculously remember your name, your room number, your drink preferences, even your life vest and fin size! We recommend that you book the "full-board" option which includes all meals and unlimited activities such as island hopping, tours of surrounding lagoons, caves and private beaches, snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing and paddle boarding. We stayed in water cottages, but any room would be fine as it is a small resort and all the rooms are close together with a fantastic view. Yes its pricey compared to similar resorts in other parts of Asia and the Caribbean, but the scenery at El Nido is one of a kind and should be on everyone's bucket list. We read some reviews that criticized the food at Lagen, but our experience was not so. The buffet might not be as extensive as in larger resorts, but it is more than adequate, and we actually found the food to be delicious!

Transportation from Manila on ITI air was like a private chartered service. Staff , facilities and aircraft were above my expectations for a small air service provider. Boat transportation from El Nido to Lagen was clean, organized and seemed to focus on safety. Rain jackets and water proof bags were ready in case of rain. Life Jackets were all in very good shape. Hotel accomodations were very nice, Swimming pool was kept clean and poolside amenities made it nice to hang out there. Food, buffet and room service ala carte , had a broad selection and well prepared. Day trips were well planned and the staff was pleasant and informative. No rushing, relaxing. A quiet get away, away from the crowds , the most beautiful scenic spots with the most variety of animals, fish, plants to see.

Fantastic getaway from a hustle and bustle of a city. Every detail well arranged by the resort, starting with the flight from Manila to reception in the resort on Lagen Island, and then daily activities (snorkeling, catamaran,...) on various islands. Room facilities and food just as we liked it. On top of this pristine waters, live coral reefs,...

Excellent hotel and service Food could have been warmer when served and after 2 days buffet got old, but planning on going again, & takng a bag full of snacks and munchies. We were hungry most of the time we were there, not enough food or appetizer choices!

Amazing location

The places I have been to like the big and small lagoons are awesome and unforgettable. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very courteous and reliable. I suggest that a better place for snorkeling, where more beautiful corals can be seen, be explored for guests' destination. Overall, my trip was great and really enjoyed it.
