The Windsor Hotel

Great location. Hotel a bit tired but work in progress. Good value for money . Could do with a electric socket and light by a mirror for makeup/ hair. Not always convenient to do this in bathroom.

Nice rooftop area. Great location. Deposit needed for aircon remote of 50 euros. Pool towels available but had to wait 1 hour to get one. Breakfast was good value considering lots of old ladies had brought large handbags and were squirreling away ham and cheese sandwiches and cake to last 2 days. Too many cheapskates and over entitled thieves staying at the place and leaving bad reviews.

Breakfast poor , multiple problems with electronic keys and doorlocks. (Numerous visit to reception to have keys reprogrammed plus doorlocks not locking) Large number of students staying on school trips.

I like windsor hıtel. I stay no 428. From 7thof august to 24th of august. The hotel is very clean, the recepcionists are very calm and helpful. They make us happy. I enjoy my stay. Whatever we want they provide. Cleaner ladies are very calm and do extra things which we eant. Perfect hotel very goıd price. You couldnt able to find like windsor hotel in europe. Our room has balcony and big.

You get what I pay for. Compared to there hotels at double the price, this hotel is great. It is not the most modern hotel but it is cleann, comfortable and good value for money. The bathroom towels are small and if you use their pool, take your own. Breakfast is simple and good quality. Please don't expect a five star hotel and bear in mind that different countries have different meanings to the star ratings. Again you get what you pay for. Do don't go moaning if your towel is not big enough or you have to wait to be seated at breakfast. Outside the hotel, along the sea front there are many restaurants. We recommend a cafe called Cara'd. The food and service are just too notch and reasonably priced. There is also a cafe only open in the day called Mint where you can get wholesome tasty sandwiches all freshly prepared and mouthwatering cakes. If you are going to valletta from aliens, take the bus and return on the ferry. If you do it the other way round you have a very very steep hill to climb and the minibus to take you to the top does not always run. Enjoy Malta and treat your hotel as a roof over you head and not somewhere to spend all you time.

The reviews made us doubt our choice of hotel but so glad we booked it. The free breakfast was a bonus. The pool was great. The location excellent. The cleaner worked so hard. I would definitely recommend it. The only downside was when we came to check out, they said we owed over €5 for drinks from the bar and showed us our signature from registration (we never used the bar). Someone had copied our signature fraudulently.

Many reviews suggested this hotel would not be suitable for me but the significant difference in price for nearby hotels made my husband and I investigate for ourselves. Yes, the hotel would benefit from further improvements and I can understand that the street it is located is not

everything was an issue here. From staff to wifi.I knew the reviews were bad prior, but it seriously it was a real shocker. I would not recommend staying here. bad rooms staff ripping people off for taxi fairs.

I read through quite a lot of the reviews for this hotel when I was looking for accommodation and I have to say it doesn't serve the low rating (was 2.9 out of 5 when I booked). The breakfast is replenished throughout until it finishes at 10am and yes, it may be the same every day but for an extra £3.13 a day when you book, you will not get cheaper elsewhere plus service with a smile. I think I got an upgrade to the superior room as my friend had a standard room - I definitely got the better deal but was staying 10 days, was much appreciated. The AC works a treat (you are given a remote when you check in) and the mini bar is more a chiller to store your water overnight, cannot be used as a fridge. You are given 2 bottles of complimentary water in your room upon arrival. Don't be expecting free water every day, there is a mini market opposite to buy your water. The location is excellent plus 4 buses to Valletta so not waiting long. The bus (222) to the ferry point for Gozo gets busy so go early. The buses are easy to use, buy the Tallinja explorer card if you're there for a week (costs 21 euros, I got mine from The Book Bites Café on Sliema waterfront as they're open till 11.30pm every day). It works like the Oyster card in London. The only complaint I have with this hotel is that my door lock broke 3 times in the morning but staff were on the case straight away and had it fixed immediately. I recommend staying at this hotel but book the superior room, its more spacious.
