City River Hotel

The staff of this hotel are a credit to the facility. They are courteous at all times and take an interest in the clients. I had the misfortune of a foot injury and the staff were always helpful and concerned for my welfare. They certainly went out of their way to help me.

Staff were welcoming and informative. Close to market and Pub Street. Easy access to town, restaurants and local market

There is a lot of construction work near the hotel which is intrusive. We first stayed at the hotel in 2008 and then 2009, and it seems that the hotel has not been updated since. Siem Reap has also lost a lot of its charm and character- with the centre more akin to Blackpool

An older hotel which needs maintenance update and a thorough checkup to correct minor wear and tear from becoming major. I.e. wash basin drains super slow...door handle falls off.. light switch was loose... ... Shower pressure was quite weak !! Breakfast was quite sufficient. Staff was very friendly.. Hotel is good but won’t need much to be better ...

Great value 3* hotel. Walking distance to Pub Street and market area but far enough away to get a quiet nights sleep. Staff are amazing and always willing to help. Service is excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is quite old, but cleanliness is good and everything in the room works fine. Decent breakfast as well, but the highlight for me are the staff. All of them were very friendly, always greeting you in and out of the hotel and also able to arrange transportation/info when needed. We had an early morning flight out on the last day and they even arranged a sandwich box for us to bring to the airport! Much appreciated.

Location: Located at the town of Siem Reap, accessible to most of the landmark I.e. Pub Street, Psar Cha old market, Angkor Night Market, Cafe, street food, convenient store, spa etc. Room: 3 single bedroom. Room abit old but decent with sufficient space for 3 pax. Toiletries were provided. Cleanliness/ pest control can still improve as we have spotted lizard's feces all over the room (on bedsheet). Alley to rooms was rather dark. Service: Excellent frontdesk team. They were really helpful when we asked them to get us to get a tuk tuk for 3 days tour in Angkor. Remember to request for Mr. TALL if you plan to travel on tuk tuk. He is very humble and helpful driver. We requested him everyday. Food: Great variety of food for breakfast. Exceeded my expectations for the price paid. Try their local soup noodle! The broth was really good! You may request for your breakfast to packed if you plan to go for sunrise tour. Facilities: Awesome roof top pool to chill after a long day from tour. Overall: Will recommend and return to this hotel. Tips: Tuk tuk drivers can be found at every corners in Siem Reap. If you get a good one, do stick to him for your travel. A wonderful stay. The staff members were so welcoming and friendly and SO willing to help out. I would definitely stay here again when in Siem Reap.
