"Outstanding boutique hotel"

We visited Madrid and stayed at the Totem Hotel. It was an outstanding experience from their front desk Staff, to the bar tenders in the lobby bar and the Pimiento Verde restaurant (subject of their own review). We reserved a suite and it didn’t disappoint. Room was comfortable with a comfortable bed and a good shower (always a key to a good stay). They have a small gym w two treads, two stationary bikes, and additional small space for stretching. Since the hotel wasn’t crowded, it was usable but one morning with two other people, it got a bit tight. It’s located in a nice area near downtown Madrid with several restaurants nearby. But you must have dinner at El Pimiento Verde, which is also outstanding and right in the hotel. Staff at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner were very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend the Totem and we’ll return.

The last stop on our trip to Spain was Madrid. We found the hotel Totem to be charming and the people were extremely friendly. They even sent a plate of sweets to our room on my birthday. The hotel is very well located within easy walking distance to great shopping and many good restaurants. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception desk were very helpful with shopping and restaurant advice. The bed was very comfortable with great pillows. We will be returning guest!

Overpriced. Poor attitude from several front desk staff. They really despite tourists from Mexico. Not staying there again. I will try Wipton on Jorge Juan.

"ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!"

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during the Madrid part of our honeymoon. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! The entire ambience of the hotel was above and beyond our expectations. The location is within the shopping district. If you like walking, you can easily get to other sights and attractions in Madrid like Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace. Taxi rides are only a few short minutes. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant's service and food were outstanding. We really liked the breakfast menu. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend to others.
