Comfort Suites Grand Rapids North

Not happy with no maid service. I even told the maid to clean it. Evening manager left a note on the managers desk. I told the morning manager to have it cleaned every morning and still no service. Breakfast was lacking. The evening manager was very friendly and helped me out with towels, trash bags, and toilet paper. I had to do the service myself.

I just want to tell you about the my visit at comfort suites grand rapids north. This was the worst I have have been at. On Friday at 8:00pm when I got there they told me that my room will be cleaned in about hour and half due be short staff and that I was welcome to go another hotel. All the hotel in the area were booked out due to cheer weekend. I had all ready pay for the room and was told that I may not get my money back. At 9:15pm I was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes till my room was cleaned. Then at 10 pm I was told they give my room away because they were upgrade everyone because of the rooms not being ready. I was there told that I could have King suite there was 5 of us( 3 adults and 2 kids) or I could find another hotel, again every thing was full and that I may not get my money back. At 10:30pm they did give as two room only have a cause a screen. This also happen to a few another guest that night. Then the next day they coming in both rooms because they forget what rooms they give us. On Monday morning at food time they had a worker a cleaning cabinets with chemicals. The hotel it self looked to be felling apart holes in the wall all over the places. The bed mattress had red strain on them, things felling of the wall. Again it was not that easy to go to another hotel.

The hotel was 10 minutes from DeVos convention center- so location was decent to the event.

We were VERY disappointed in our stay. We had to wait until 9pm for a clean room to check in. This is 5 hours after check-in. The manager informed me that the cleaning staff called off, but this was hours and hours after check-in time and we were 1 of 6 families waiting. The hotel was dirty (see pictures below). The phone in our room did not work, the plugs didn’t work, the front desk had no clean towels or blankets (we were told “sorry, none clean”.) The floors were sticky, the rooms had stains everywhere, the pool had no pool towels, the hot tub was broken, the juice machine was broken. For breakfast, we had frozen bagels and cold eggs with sausage. The window and drawers in our room were also broken. The cart that you use to bring in your luggage- broken too. I am being told I will get a credit for one of the nights, but was still charged. I do have corporates phone number and email if I do not receive that credit.

Breakfast options

Room was dirty, sheets were dirty and had crumbs. Bathroom only has 2 towels and 2 face towels no shower rug/mator towel. Sink was scalding hot or freezing no happy medium no matter how much adjusting. Pool was dirty and feeezing there was visible mildew/mold and dust on the pool deck and in the water super murky too. not worth 245 for one night at ALL!

I did not like how they did not mention a broken hot tub, the pool was freezing and the water was murky. Surrounding the pool is very dirty. Pool bathrooms were not stocked with paper towel or toilet paper. Staff will not bring anything up to your room. Room had multiple broken lights, missing curtains, bed was broken, pull out mattress was covered in stains. I got a room for 6 people and was only provided two towels. Breakfast was okay. eggs are very watery, juice machines did not work, no one came by to clean trash, so it was overflowing.

Room was dirty and unkept. No towels and the bedding was appalling. The breakfast was a joke no juice and food was not refilled. Pool cold and dirty. The staff were friendly and kind. But worst hotel I have stayed in in a long time.

This hotel is awful! Staff was very pleasant and doing the best they could, but this hotel is not maintained, and things are broken in the rooms. The pool.was so filthy ans old cold that we would not utilize it, and the hot tub was empty. They ran out of breakfast by 9 am and even the juice machine was out of order. Other guests were also complaining tjat they paid $200 a night and didn't want to stay.
