Not a lot really. Only one member of staff stood out, Matthew, running the bar the afternoon we arrived.

On arrival, Peter, said he could reduce the parking fee of £12 pn to £6 in return for a 5* review. He also told us whether another guest had checked in or not....blatant lack of GDPR. My daughter's boyfriend had booked a suite and it smelled of smoke and weed in the room. On further inspection a plastic bag had been put on the smoke detector and clearly missed by the cleaning team. The carpets in their room and ours were significantly stained. The restaurant had over 75% of the menu unavailable, breakfast was awful, the sausages had an after taste and eggs like rubber. The coffee machines both had issues, one needed a filter replaced, shown on the screen, the milk splattered everywhere so you had to stand back, even the coffee ran out and nobody replenished it. The toilet facilities at bar level only had urinals open, all 3 stalls were closed, you had to go downstairs to the other bathroom which had no brushes and were covered in other people's splatter, with loose seats. The pool and facilities were out of order and have been for a while looking at other reviews and the lift was so slow on opening the doors we thought we may get trapped. Air conditioners didn't work in our room or the 'suite' my daughter had, and they had two.

Room service, poor communication from Hotel and even through their own app! Had the night porter knocking on my room door at 11:45pm with the iron and ironing board 4hrs after asking for one.

Was ok in all aspects. Bit of a shame they didn’t want to serve 12 people food 10 mins ahead of kitchen closure. That said there was only one burger left and that would’ve been most popular choice. Got bus into town instead.

Pool needs a refurb. Jacuzzi & steam room not working then whole thing was closed following day so we couldn’t even have a swim.
