HONESTLY best hotel experience ever with fantastic atmosphere location and staff! The staff here were something elseeee! BIG SHOUT OUT to DEN & MOHAMMAD AL HADI! My experience wouldn’t have been the same without them! I can confidently say he is one of the best concierge staff members I’ve ever encountered. He has been so attentive from the moment we first met him and has helped us throughout our whole with his warm smiles and laughter through our entrances and exits. Den gave us such a smooth wonderful check-in with her friendly professional demeanour and her smiles along the way aswell. There’s no doubt I am coming back here and if you don’t come here you’re missing out on an experience of a lifetime!

One of the must see places around Muscat plz take time to go there try afternoon so you can be there around sunset walk around the beach is very relaxing food also very nice and there are multiple restaurants there

We stayed one week in al waha on half board. I cannot find anything at all to criticise. Everything from check in, our room, the staff, the cleanliness to the food was wonderful. And don't get me started on the lazy river, the sea and the beach! All superb.

This is a very grand hotel with a lovely swimming pool and lazy river. The weather in October was perfect (hot/warm but dry). So, it did not feel humid. The beach composition is soft yellow sand, and sea swimming is possible as there is no seaweed, jellyfish or sea urchins, (the sea was lovely and warm). The only downside was booking dinner, you need to be super organised and book early in the day. We made the mistake of trying to book at the last min and only the buffet was an option. Fortunately, the lovely concierge girl booked us a table at the Sultanah restaurant; albeit a little later than we initially planned. Then whilst getting changed for dinner, room service arrived with a complimentary plate of cakes and fruit to pacify our appetites under dinner. Very unexpected and highly appreciated, thank you Shangri La.

My wife Anna and I have stayed twice at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Hotel in Muscat, first for two weeks in November 2024, and then for three weeks in March 2025. Our second visit coincided with Ramadan, which gave us a unique chance to experience the local culture and see how the community celebrates this special month. The resort offers a warm and guest-friendly atmosphere, blending excellent service with authentic Omani style. The reception and room service staff are bilingual and consistently helpful, making the entire visit smooth and enjoyable. We also appreciated the 24/7 on-site nurse, who provided caring assistance when our daughter arrived from London with a running nose. The dining options are excellent, with a variety of restaurants serving Middle Eastern fusion, fresh seafood, Italian favorites, and international cuisine. The quality and diversity of food remained excellent throughout our stay, but during Ramadan was beyond our expectations. While we loved swimming in the sea, the resort also has pools suitable for guests of all ages, including secure pools designed for babies, making it a perfect place for families. One unforgettable moment was watching newborn sea turtles make their way safely to the sea, with a hotel-assigned guard ensuring their protection—it was truly magical and touching to witness. The beautiful beach and spectacular sea create the perfect setting to relax and unwind, whether you’re traveling with children or seeking a peaceful retreat. We are already looking forward to returning in mid-November 2025 for another memorable stay!
