Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Muscat

The location, atmosphere,...ect all the services were astonishing and on point in all levels. The staff in nursery room were very helpful and kind. So many images will stuck in my mind in which it will make me return back for this lovely experience.

Absolutely amazing house keeper Islam and his colleague met our needs with our children,Islam was very respectful and helpful made our children smiled with his design of towels on the beds making animals Credit to Islam for making our stay very good

During our recent stay at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah in Muscat, we had the pleasure of being assisted by Ashraful Islam, and I must say his service was truly exceptional. From the very beginning, Ashraful went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and always ready to help with a warm smile. Whether it was arranging special requests, providing helpful recommendations, or simply checking in to make sure everything was going well, Ashraful consistently made us feel welcome and well taken care of. His professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care made a significant difference in our experience. My family and I are truly grateful for his efforts and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks. Shangri-La is fortunate to have someone like Ashraful on their team, and we look forward to seeing him again on our next visit!

The location is amazing ,far away in the rocky mountains , the resort with an amazing beach and fantastic sea view. The restaurant is relatively medium, but the service and food is excellent. They catered well for all tastes and lovely vegetarian Indian variety. All the chefs are brilliant and to name a few, Ravinder, Toby Anthony, Moorthi , Prem,  Rusiru,Allisa went out of their way to make some of the dishes. Very pleasant and relaxing & rejuvenating holiday. Yonika Lim - front desk manager, really helped us and our requirements . She is an asset to the Shangri-la management team Italian restaurant is La' carte and is an additional charge and needs to ..chef Kushi and Michaela were outstanding  The swimming pool is excellent and there is separate children's swimming.Mary-Bell was very helpful in pool side restaurant. All rooms are very comfortable with good room service Ashrafuul kept our rooms absolutely spotless  .

I had a truly perfect stay at Shangri-La. Everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. A special thanks goes to Mr. Osama Shuhaimi for his outstanding support and warm hospitality – he really made our stay unforgettable. I would also like to sincerely thank Antwanet at the reception, who was amazing and made us feel so welcomed. And a big appreciation to Maryam at the Kids Club – she is super kind, caring, and so wonderful with children. Thank you to the entire Shangri-La team for making our experience exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back again!

What an incredibly beautiful resort with fantastic staff who are so welcoming and so kind . We were hugely impressed as soon as we arrived at the Al Waha which is mainly for families . You will be overwhelmed with the incredible scenery, it’s just beautiful. The food is lovely , we ate mainly at the buffet and we had breakfast ,lunch and dinner there. The choice is brilliant , breakfast is a feast . Lunch and dinner would be completely different, the Indian food was some of the best we’ve had. The lazy river is so lovely and you can spend an hour every day there . The spa and gym are wonderful and the staff so welcoming and they are always smiling . And for us , the staff are the best you will ever come across. The front office manager Yoniko was brilliant . She was so kind and always had time for a lovely chat. She’s a huge asset for the Shangri La . I have to say a big thank you to all of the staff from those working in the lobby to the pool bar , gym, spa, buffet restaurant and the staff in housekeeping . You are all absolutely brilliant. Special mention to the following Parul, Marybel, chefs Hassan Mansour and Freddy, Thaw, Cristel,the incredible managers Ali Mohammad Ali Al Khalil and Dev Khatwani, Abhishek, Sheila and Ram, Priyo and AJ in housekeeping . Huda,Rasha and Samia in the gym are wonderful. A huge thank you to Karooh who works in the incredible classic car museum which is based in the resort . There’s absolutely no doubt that we will return to the Shangri La Muscat, it’s one of the best . Well done .

We had a wonderful stay with our family and truly enjoyed every moment. Everything was beautiful, well-maintained, and there is really nothing to complain about. What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff – whether at the Kids Club, the bar, the restaurant, or anywhere else in the hotel, every single person was extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Since reviews are most helpful when they also include small suggestions, I’d like to share two ideas: • At the buffet (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), it might be nice to have a small play corner for children. Families often spend more time at meals during holidays, and little ones sometimes find it hard to sit for too long. • It would also be wonderful to see more vegan, healthy, and fresh options – for example smoothies, acai bowls, or other light plant-based choices. One note: I can’t comment on the activities provided by the Kids Club or other programs, as we preferred to spend most of our time together as a family. Overall, though, this was an excellent experience, and we are very grateful for the warmth and hospitality of everyone working here.
