Azka Hotel

It's a wonderful 5 star hotel at Bodrum and I strongly recommend it. - great location with 10 min walk to bodrum marina. - Amazing polite staff especially Furqan the receptionist and Medine at the restaurant with her lovely smile all the time. - beutiful SANDY beach. - Spa unlimited access. - Good panoramic sea views. - Great turkish food at the restaurants especially desserts and magnolia.

Just very small things - Very bad Wifi signal at rooms (I relied on my mobile data). - Some items not labelled at the restaurant. - Occasional water cut but lasts only for a little while. - bed pillows should be changed as it's really uncomfortable. - No iron when requested!

Prepare yourselves girls, because I have STORIES 😂 We stayed here May 1–10, all inclusive. Pros: 1. Food & drinks Honestly, very tasty. Especially the food at the snack bar. And the woman at the lobby bar deserves a raise — best cocktails in the hotel, professional, efficient, no drama, just business 🍸 2. Hammam Actually really nice. 3. Sea view & location The location is beautiful and we mostly walked everywhere. Although if you hate hills, your calves may file a complaint.

G Now… the cons. And I will be detailed because I need to explain my emotional journey 😂 1. Dust. Dust everywhere. Dust under the bed, between the beds, on the balcony, especially on the mosquito net — that ancient dusty smell like someone opened a tomb. Public areas too: sunbeds, tables, sofas. Maybe because it was early season and there weren’t many guests, cleaning standards were… relaxed. If you have allergies, good luck soldier. At some point it honestly felt like the aggressive chlorine smell was being used to mask the lack of proper cleaning and all the dust 😂 2. Renovation works We came in May and the hotel still wasn’t fully ready for the season. Lots of renovation going on. This also contributed to the dust apocalypse in the corridors. Sometimes it was very noisy — drilling, hammering etc. And workers smoked under our balcony, so our room occasionally became a Marlboro lounge. 3. Staff To this day we still don’t understand why, but somehow we ended up out of favor with the cleaning ladies 😂 They constantly forgot cleaning cloths/sponges in our room, didn’t refill water/shampoo and accidentally threw away some of my small personal items. We politely complained once… and next time they just skipped cleaning altogether 💀 The vibe was very “you should be grateful we are doing our jobs.” We even tried leaving tips in the room to get back into their good graces… 😂 In the hammam there was also a woman (I think cleaning staff?) who wanted to wash alone and literally told us “that room is closed.” Miraculously, it reopened right after she finished using it herself 😂 Reception staff were also not exactly warm and welcoming. Ask where the nearest shop is? “Ask security.” Needed sanitary pads? Apparently that was too ambitious for an all-inclusive hotel 😭 Very few staff speak English. We were also initially given the wrong room.

Хотела е в ремонт. Камериерките се скатаваха предпоследния ден дори не ни почистиха стаята. Разочароващо че от миналата година вместо да се подобри се е снижило качеството за пет звезден хотел. На закуска напитките, сока е вече химичен от машина наистина недопустимо за петзвезден хотел. Огромно разочарование. Благодарение на мениджъра закуска почивката ни беше спасена той правеше всичко възможно дори ни сервираше сок от кутия, мисля че неговото име е Алган за съжаление беше заменен от една дама доста груба която с голямо удоволствие отговаряше че нищо няма и не може да ни бъде предоставено, няма истински сок няма айран. На вечеря персонала бързаше да прибира и приключи вечерята много преди часа за края. Давам хубава оценка поради уникалната гледка и старанието на персонала.

The only positive aspect of this experience was the staff. They were polite, friendly, and did their best to help despite the condition of the hotel.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but in this case I feel it’s necessary. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this hotel is nowhere near the 5-star standard it claims. The lobby was poorly lit, with visible maintenance work taking place — workmen outside clearing debris, and inside there were exposed ceiling panels, removed wall sections, and unfinished repairs. It immediately gave the impression of a hotel that is run down and not properly maintained. The room itself was in a very poor condition. It felt heavily used and neglected, with scratched furniture, dusty surfaces, and broken amenities. The Wi-Fi would not connect, the in-room phone was partially broken, and most frustratingly, the electricity system did not work because the card holder was faulty. These are basic expectations that even lower-rated hotels meet, and completely unacceptable for a hotel advertising itself as 5-star. I also specifically chose this hotel because it advertised indoor parking. However, when I left, I discovered my car had been parked roughly 100 meters up a hill outside the hotel. This is misleading, especially as the hotel was nearly empty, so there was no clear reason why the advertised parking was not provided. Another issue was staff using the guest lift while transporting equipment and carrying out repairs. This made the overall experience feel far from special and highlighted the ongoing disruption throughout the hotel. Due to all of the above, I did not stay at the hotel. After checking in and spending around 30 minutes trying to resolve the issues, I decided to leave and requested a refund through Booking.com, which was processed efficiently. The hotel attempted to resolve things by upgrading me, but the second room was of a similar standard, and even the key card initially failed to work. Overall, this hotel falls far below 5-star expectations. Until major improvements are made, I would not recommend staying here.

Sezon dönemi olmaması sebebi ile plaj deneyimimiz olmadı. Merkeze yakınlığı sebebi ile konumu güzel. Kapalı havuz yeterli büyüklükte. Hamam kısmını kullanabildik. Personellerin bayram sebebi ile izinli olmasından ötürü spa ve masaj deneyimi yaşayamadık. Kış sezonu olması sebebi ile müşteri sirkülasyonu olmayışı sebebiyle musluklardan akan sular başlangıçta kötü kokuyordu. Odalardaki mobilyalar eski ve banyo kâğıtları yırtık ve bakımsızdı. Genel olarak beş yıldızlı bir otel için eski bir mimarı ve yapıya sahip. Kahvaltı klasik domates-peynir-salatalık-haşlanmış yumurta şeklinde zayıftı. Kış sezonu için ödediğimiz fiyat / performans açısından yetersiz idi. Sezon da belki farklı olabilir.
