It’s nice enough. Good for families with kids who like water parks

Bathroom (toilet) was not properly cleaned!

We have stayed here a few times and have never had an issue. It was a Sunday afternoon and check in was at 4. We (and others) were trying to check in around 4:30. We were told to have a seat and would have a 15 minute wait for our room to be ready. After waiting 45 minutes, we checked at the desk (near where we were sitting) and found out our room was ready! We were wondering how long we would have sat there if we wouldn't have asked. There was a family of 5 who had been waiting over an hour before we arrived. We were disappointed this time around, but the rest of the stay was good.

We liked the rustic/cabin like atmosphere. The room was nice and the water park was great for the kids. Although the food was good at the restaurant, the service was extremely slow. Our grandkids had their meals and had finished before my wife and I even received our meals. The hotel could probably benefit with some upgrades, maybe paint and new linnen and matresses also.

I will never go to this, or any other Wyndham, hotel again. I'm a very frequent traveler, and gold or higher at other chains. At the start I was charged a $30 early check in fee at 3 PM even though the parking lot was empty. My other hotel chains certainly don't do this. I was told there was no manager on duty to talk to, and I was told that I must fill out my car details down to the license plate because of MN State law. Not true, and a huge empty lot too! This hotel should definitely have a manager on duty. The staff obviously didn’t care. Room was dirty with rocks in the carpet, broken toilet seat, and mold on AC and air grills. The entire hotel was badly in need of updates. There is a reason this hotel had openings and lower prices when others were sold out. I will be posting this same info on the web as part of my one-star review. Lots of others are posted there that I should have paid more attention to earlier.

For the price it was not worth it. We arrived on a Friday around 3:45 and the check in process was so slow! The room itself was outdated and very old and I am not a fan with the sink and mirror not in the bathroom. The waterpark was not what I expected and not that big. The lazy river is small and for the most part most of the kids were using that as a swimming pool so kept bumping into the kids swimming. The breakfast was a joke! The diced potatoes were cold and eggs not that great and the waffles are just like any other hotel and only thing that was halfway decent was the sausage. There is a 50.00 hold on your credit card and I was charged twice for that because I did the online check in and then when I did the check in at the hotel to get my key I was charged another 50.00 so when i checked out the front desk clerk said she would make a note because that should not have happened and said both would fall off so will have to keep following up on that to make sure it does. We at at the restaurant there and my two grandkids and I had the fish and it was DISSCUSTING so very disappointing and would not stay there again.

The toilet seat was needing adjustment. Beds were noisy when turning over.
