Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa

We booked through a 3rd party and thats where our troubles began, very poor check in where the clerk did not update any of preferances or take a sample of our credit card, we were not booked in for the breakfast and could not book up our meals. Trips to reception soon sorted it, none of our member services were allowed except wifi. Returning home I tried to contact Hilton but was ignored. I also had to querie our account. Will bypass Hilton from now on.

This was the perfect first holiday for us with our little baby. The size of the rooms are spacious, perfect for a family. The food is great, huge variety at the buffet breakfast, but the staff is what makes this place.

The Resort spans 2.5km long, be prepared to walk a lot to facilities in the resort if your room is situated further away, or wait for a cart to get around.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff made us feel incredibly welcome with smiles, especially front office, Waqa . They were friendly, attentive and cared about making our stay special. Lorna at the front desk was welcoming and incredibly accommodating, even upgrading our room when she learned it was our first trip to Fiji. Everything here felt great. It was clean, clam and peaceful. An amazing pool made it a great city escape to relax.

Great location, loved they had an adults only restaurant, pool and bar. That was great.

Service was a little slow. Lovely staff. Food could be improved. Cocktails were inconsistent and not great.

Hilton evokes an image of class, sophistication, and elegance; however, the units do not currently reflect this standard and would benefit from an upgrade in layout, colour scheme, and furnishings.

Main pools were good, on the whole the staff were friendly and helpful, washer and dryer in the room was a real bonus mid-holiday, as was having a kitchenette. Hydrosport snorkelling experience was a highlight.

For a five star hotel, the room and facilities felt run down and in real need of a refurbishment. Dated tiling in the bathroom, ants in the kitchen, and dated decor was disappointing. The onsite spa was a real let down (compared to the Sofitel next door, it was not an experience of a high end hotel), one of the pools (kiddies pool?) was really gross and needs to be retiled. We did notice a fair number of staff on their phones which, coming from the Intercontinental was a real difference, and meant that some staff appeared distracted and disinterested. It also seemed like there was a shortage of staff to clean rooms in a timely manner and provide service in the restaurants.

We were given an old wing. The cupboard was creaking and almost falling apart. Water pressure low. Not sure why one side of the cupboard was locked. They say they will unlock it, but did not. We were locked out the second day. We had to wait and left the hotel for an appointment without getting into the room.

Lovely staff pool and restaurants excellent really good value for money
