Untidy, disorganised and some (not all) rude staff. Also booked expecting a swimming pool and informed on arrival that it was closed. Didn’t get informed beforehand. Agreed refund with management but they still haven’t processed this.

Spacious hotel in lovely grounds, with mostly friendly staff and clean and comfy rooms. The breakfast was quite good and the bar area was ok.

According to reception staff, apparently booking.com were supposed to be in touch to say the spa had closed permanently, but they were not, so we arrived expecting to be able to use it and were very disappointed, as we booked this hotel for that sole reason. The reception staff were very apologetic and did take money off the bill, which was good. The hotel is nice, but doesn't really have much of an atmosphere, which is a shame.

Nice size room, comfortable bed, plenty of supplies on the hostess tray. Hot cookie on booking in a nice touch.

Only downside was that the bathroom sink was blocked on our second day. The bar easy chairs need back cushions for those of us with short legs!
