Appart'Hôtel le Génépy

We booked last minute and was surprised to get this apartment. It was clean and spacious for the 2 of us for and overnight stay as we wanted to climb mint Blanc the following day. Very central and easy to find. Everyone was pleasant at checking and check out. And we were allowed to leave our bags and pick up later.

Property was decent. Good location and quietly tucked away from the main traffic area. Facilites in excellent working condition. My only conplaint was the room that we had was very stuffy and watm. The air conditioning unti was very loud when on and made frequently loud noises. Otherwise a fantastic find!

The images of the mountain view’s were inaccurate. We stayed in the 3 bedroom townhouse that was described as a penthouse with mountain view. It was a second floor apartment above a coffee shop with views of the back of the grocery store and parking lot. It was unbearably hot in the apartment with a standup air conditioning unit which gave off warm air.

The place is comfortably situated in the heartland of the town.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroo apartment. The location is great in the heart of Chamonix at a reasonable price ($380 for 2 nights). Parking was a few steps away from property and a bit difficult to enter and exit due to narrow streets The thing I didnt like was that I need to make an international call to reach the front desk! There is no landline to do so! More over, I needed an iron and an iron board, the reception told me that I have to wait for house keeping who arrives between 8:30 and 9 am to check if they have! Our rooms want cleaned I dont know why, since I didnt have a dont disturbe sign, I assumed that they will clean during the day but they didnt. Some apartments cant be reached by elevators and there was not air conditioning we had to open the windows.

Starting with the reception he was helpful and explained what I needed. With parking available behind the hotel. The apartment was spacious and clean with a full kitchen. Central location for all your needs.

Excellent location in the centre of town. Clean and practical set up. We were there for 4 days. During this time we met a variety of staff. I think the welcome and treatment you get from staff can make for a wonderful experience or be very disappointing. Our welcome was lovely from a young French man who spoke beautiful English that he had learnt in Australia. Unfortunately other interactions with different staff not so good. Felt like I dare not ask another question.

We (3 adults and 2 teens) stayed in the #10 apartment. The location is amazing - just off the Main Street in town, and next to a supermarket that was very convenient. Despite the location near the busy street, it was very quiet except on Saturday night when we could hear some partying noise (nothing outrageous or terribly bothersome, but we noticed it on Saturday night). The apartment was perfect for us - a double bed and 3 singles. We appreciated the 2 full baths and incredibly well stocked kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher, a little wine fridge, plenty of plates, glassware, cutlery, etc). We also enjoyed the little balcony that can fit 2 chairs. The Wi-Fi worked well. The elevator came in handy too. The apartment was modern and comfortable and warm! My only suggestion would be that it could use more soft seating in the living room - the pullout couch sits 2, so the others needed to sit at the kitchen table if we were all relaxing in the living room. We loved the views over the mountains, town and church - what a treat to hear the bells ringing! We all enjoyed this apartment & it’s location very much and highly recommend it to any families or groups visiting Chamonix!

Great location accommodation clean and comfortable

The apartment we stayed was spacious with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. Great did I get and kitchen with beautiful balcony towards mountains. Genepy cafe service was nice and fast. I would definitely recommend this place for a family vacation.
