Roman Way Hotel A5 Cannock

No facilities at this hotel, very tired looking, but clean and served its purpose - cheap stop mid-journey to sleep and shower only; but bring own toiletries, hairdryer etc. Listing needs to be updated to reflect hotel accurately.

Noisy and cold wouldn’t stay here again

Good friendly and helpful staff. Good reasonable room. No food available at hotel, but staff were helpful in recommending places locally.

The stay was fair enough, no difficulties apart from the shower flow being poor.

Friendly staff, owners not keeping Hotel in good condition. Cheap hotel room, just don't expect much - don't pay more than Premier Inn!!

Booked here because of the bar and restaurant which is part of the hotel.. as advertised on their website only to find out it’s all been shut down. So no breakfast or evening drinks etc. luckily the location is good for the beefeater over the road and Chase Gate pub both in walking distance. House keeping was virtually non-existent. Had to go twice ti reception to ask for toilet paper, tea and coffee etc. bathroom extraction was not working so the room was damp for the 4 days we were there.

Not bad overall but wanted £20 to check in 1 hour early which we didn’t accept then told bar not even open til 4. Only 1 pillow each only 1 teaspoon for 2 people drinking different things. No bedside lamps etc... yes only little things but compared with other budget hotels like Premier Inn there was a lack of attention to detail and reception not particularly friendly

Very basic and the shower just dribbled out I think £68 pounds was a lot for the room

The positive Stayed in room 216 the carpet and bed was new…. The mattress great had a good sleep ….lovely white clean fresh towels…… shower lovely and hot with good pressure….. room nice and warm . The negative bathroom in need of total refurbishment……attention to detail with cleaning above height level is needed as air vent over toilet full of dust and thick dust on top of light over bathroom mirror… did not switch the light on as the cord was so dirty. No hairdryer in room did ask at reception for one but they had none….. Furniture in bedroom needs updating Beds only had one pillow provided Long walk to room from reception and all corridors in need of some TLC
