"The staff is disilusioned: non-payment of UIF"

The restaurant staff is constantly in clusters talking about dissatisfaction over failure of the company to pay their UIF claims. An unhappy staff will not be productive. It concerns us as guests to hear terrible retrenchment strategies employed by Palm Management. I like the place, but maybe Peermont should intervene and do what is right to its employees by paying out money that government paid to Palms and address employees on the lay-off/retrenchment strategy. Better still they have to explain to the public why they withdrew employees' claims that they submitted to labour. You lay people off and then change their pay without any negotiation? It is funny that Management does not address staff but leaves it up the the incapable hands of the so-called 'Couch' who is a Union misrepresenter and not an employer rep. How do you pack-up employees into one staff transport as if they are sardines? In a Corona situation, seriously!? Should you compromise people's lives for profit? CAN PEERMONT PLEASE INTERVENE. WE WANT WANT OUR OLD PALMS BACK!!

"Negative experience at Palms"

As a regular visitor I am truely dissappointed to see how everything just went downhill at Peermont Mmabatho Palms Two lights in my room were not working, of which was infront of the buildin cupboard, nothing to mount toilet rolls to fixtures and no decaff coffee in room. The buffet menu was exactly the same for two lunches and dinners in a row and when I ordered room service because of that I only received half of what was on the room service menu. No onion rings and no sauce for the steak. I am truely dissapointed and would rather go back to staying at the Protea Hotel in future. The clothing tags from a previous occupant is still laying behing the coach, which made me wonder how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned?

"value for money"

I received a warm welcome from the very friendly staff. I have sinus problem and every time when I have to sleep in a hotel I get frustrated anticipating to get a smelly carpet in the room. This was not the case, my room was big, clean and smelling fresh. the bed was comfortable. I really felt like a very important person. I have a good night sleep.

"Very Poor Service from Mmabatho Palms"

We were moved from room to room but each time there was something lacking. Main door not working, sliding door dysfunctional, stale food at the restaurant, poor service from staff. Overall terrible experience. We ended up checking out on the same day we checked in and forfeited the money used to book.There was no way we could have stayed overnight under those circumstances.

"Palatial tower in the Desert"

Perfect spot for a business trip, quiet environs to work, friendly crowd and welcoming people. the rooms are really spacious, the grounds are attractive with a mix of typical Kalahari and bushveld flora & fauna. A good place to try!

"Bathroom need to be repair"

The hotel is generally good place. however, the basing in the bathroom was blocked. When reporting to the front desk told to fill in the survey form. no apology was given. It appear that the front desk does not care much about the inconvenience. The Hotel need to maintain their bathroom as my colleague also experience a problem with the toilet, it was not flashing.

"Great service"

The best Mafikeng with everything that a guest can need. Other hotels may learn a lot from your services. I salute the fact that you take students from hotel to do the practical in Mmabatho Palms because they are learning from the best

"Clean but very tired"

Hotel hasn’t had a first lift in many years. The staff are not properly trained. They are inattentive in the restaurant and at breakfast there was no coffee. An absolute basic anywhere in the world.Notwithstanding the lack of training, the staff were very friendly but friendliness without management is no recipe for success.

"Ms"

Disappointed, first night I washed with cold water and the following day there was no water at all.No one notify us in the morning. Breakfast was also not good.The hotel need proper management.Not value for money.

"What a disappointment!"

Waiting to check in took more than 1hr 30 mins because only one computer was working. Worse, there was a room key shortage so we had to be escorted by a guard to open our room. As if that was not enough, the speakers at the pool side were playing music all night!
