Nothing it was perfect

The surrounding location is pretty. The rooms are comfortable.

Reception staff were unwelcoming. Our rooms were not ready upon our arrival, which was later than the appointed check-in time; no apologies were given, no complimentary drink offered for the inconvenience, in fact the woman on reception was curt and dismissive of the delay caused to us. Food and drinks were overpriced, with a small Britvic Orange drink costing £4.50. The Caesar Salad was around £14 and to add chicken was a further £6. Bar staff were unsure how to make drinks - I ordered an April Spritz (£10) which was tasteless due to too much soda water being added.

Superb time had by all 4 of us. Service was brilliant by all the staff, lovely and welcoming with genuine smiles too. Very good training regarding customer service. One fault only the WiFi was not that good within the hotel. Very clean rooms, good pool facilities and great value for money. The hotel is in a great location too for visiting the cotswolds.

Great location for what we wanted. The hotel has a great feel to it when you arrive. It looks as luxurious as it is. The bedroom was large, with a very large bed, which was very comfortable. Lovely soft pillows and nice bedding. Good sized bathroom with bath and shower cubicle, luxury toiletries too. The room was very dark and quiet which meant we had a great sleep. Very very clean and well stocked tea and coffee. The restaurant was very nice too and the food very good, including the breakfast. The bar had a good selection of drinks and food to choose from. The spa facilities were very good too. A nice pool, sauna and steam room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Decent size room. We had a problem with our evening meal but we were eventually refunded.

Evening meal was a joke, wrong food, food served in a cracked serving dish. The manager (only on that particular night)did her best to avoid us. Not what we expected from a 4* hotel. We were given a refund for the meal but would have preferred it right first time instead of having to complain. Beds were way too soft, couldn't tell if they were meant to be like that or badly worn.

The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring surrounding areas. The hotel was lovely and clean and had good facilities.

I was disturbed through the night with dogs barking in nearby rooms. The bed was very uncomfortable, 2 beds put together had a lump in the middle and sloped downwards. Only lamps for lighting in the main part of the room. No sockets next to the bed to charge phones, they did however have a usb but my phone cable is the new charger cable so unable to use it.
