Fire Mountain Lodge

What we didn't like was the basement rooms,it was too dark and too cold.We did like the upstairs,it was warm and bright,but the sofa bed was a little dirty and the closet door was broken in the master bedroom.The overall it was good

The unit was more than enough room for 2 adults and 3 children. The views are amazing! I loved the walk out in the master bedroom and the balcony upstairs off the livingroom too. The barbeque on the balcony is a great idea too! The only thing we didn't like was when we got there the floors were filthy, other than that it was great!

Everything was going smoothly with the self-check in option - until we required support. The staff who are on call to help aren't provided with enough information to help, and there is no maintenance staff on call. The space was great, although not very clean, everything could use a deep clean.

My stay was very quiet and peaceful. Parking my large pickup was challenging though.

Great place in an awesome location. Only negative issue was the hotel was impossible to reach. After a dozen calls to deal with an issue I had to call Expedia, funny enough they answered the phone for Expedia but not me.

This is a self check in/check out suite hotel. There are no on-site staff and very unit is said to be a full suite, like a vacation home. They send you an email a day before your stay, which might be an issue for those of us from south of the border who are traveling on airplane mode, especially if we didn't pay ahead of time. Luckily I noticed the email early. All the instructions were in the email. The 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath suite is clean and amazing. You get access to the backyard as well, but the parking slot is narrow and not good for novice drivers. I didn't see any kitchen sponges, just the scotchbrite patches, but I guess they expected you to use the dishwasher. I generally shoot for the cheapest hotel I can find after free parking and Wi-Fi, and this was no exception, so I was surprised to find this, a suite! This is a great location, too. Being just outside National Park boundaries, you don't have to pay for park fees (you have to if you stay in Banff). Being on the 1, Canmore is convenient and groceries are easy, including an Asian grocer.

Pros: Comfortable, convenient and good location. Cons: Parking spaces are not big enough that if a huge or wide vehicle is parked, it is impossible to another car to park next to it. Not enough parking space as well. There was a time we had to park on the street.
