Mitsis Rodos Maris

Great hotel with plenty of options for things to do and places to eat and drink. On its own beach and with very attentive and helpful staff. Like all Mitsis hotels i have visited they really do care about the customer. The only downside is the local area and lack of places to walk outside without getting a taxi or bus.

This was our second stay in a Mitsis property in Greece (first was in Crete); and admittedly, we were disappointed. The physical structure of the hotel is showing its age (or lack of any real upkeep), with paint chipping and peeling in the pool areas, along the walls of the main house and many room blocks, to landscaping that looks like it was put together by novices. It was common to see empty soda and beer bottles lining the walls of room blocks for hours each day...something that should have been removed by night housekeeping before guests became active in the mornings. When it rained and puddled in common areas, the pool of rainwater were left to dry as opposed to swept away so that guest could use those areas for their purposes. The rooms are OK, although many people complained of ant infestations...which were addressed with houskeeping spraying chemicals all over the rooms...even on clothing and bathroom items. The food is OK as well...main dining hall offers variety, but presentation is seriously lacking and you see the same food items over and over again. It reminded me of being back in college. The beach is nice, although the chaise lounge chairs and umbrellas are the worst I've ever seen in a hotel that boasts 5 stars. The umbrellas are rusted metal frames with dried bamboo rods woven throughout...like being on a stranded island. The surrounding resorts all offered nice, bright and adjustable umbrellas, including better quality chairs.

A decent place to stay close to the beach. The food is generally good and there is plenty to choose from at the buffet. Breakfast is missing the fresh OJ as with most AI hotels, but there is good coffee from the machines. The 'a la carte' Greek restaurant we tried was also very good and is included in the AI package, along with a couple of others that must be booked in advance. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are kept clean, but we did have a few ants in ours, so no 5 stars. The beach is pretty good and has plenty of sport/game activities. The spa is also worth a try if you can afford a good massage.

We had an amazing time at the Mitsis Rodos Maris - the food is amazing, with something for everyone and food available all day every day. Between the main restaurant with it's themed evenings, the three a la cart restaurants (Greek, Mediterranean and Asian - worth booking eaely for these as they get booked up days in advance), the American burger joint at lunchtime and the Creperie which serves crepes & pasta until 2am, you can always find something you fancy. And if you're not up for leaving your sun lounger all of the bars offer toasties and hotdogs and there is a pizza oven down on the beach! If you are looking for a chilled out holiday, this is the place to go - we never struggled to get loungers by the pool or to find shade when we wanted it and all of the staff especially Stavroula at the pool bar and the animation team who run the activities around the pool area and down at the beach were amazing and friendly. They transformed our break from being just like any other holiday with good food and sunshine to one where we felt like valued guests as well as having a relaxing break and we will definitely go back if we are in Rhodes again

lovely hotel, great service , facilities, great choice of food and restaurants, excellent entertainment very friendly animation team. local area is pretty quiet and a bit cut off but the hotel is nice enough to enjoy and relax without going far. Would have been nice to include wifi throughout as many hotels do now, rather than having to go to reception to use it or pay for the all areas service.

Excellent hotel. Staff always helpful and kind. Food was tasty and varied, outstanding American option at lunch (need to book) and late nights pasta and crepes. Rooms were spacious and air conditioning worked very well. TV had a wide range of channels. Beach area is well designed with shade. Bar and pizza available there too. Swimming off beach was wonderful in late afternoon and interesting fish to be seen. Lindos is close by with interesting castle and Greek/Roman remains. Lots of tourist shops too.

The hotel is perfect place for rest with kids. Very good service, big clean beach with bar and pizza kitchen, different daily food themes, kind staff, funny animation.

Fantastic holiday. Brilliant restaurants at the complex and great facilities, the only thing that let it down were the drinks. All in all fantastic stay

From the moment we walked in to the hotel reception just after midnight, we were greeted with cheerful and helpful staff. In the restaurants (three of them) they greet you warmly and the choices in each were endless. By the pool is a beach bar with the friendliest barmaid, on the beach the bar and pizza hut both make your stay perfect with good English speaking staff.

Amazing hotel, has everything a family needs for a fun holiday. The staff is amazing, kind, makes sure that everything is perfect. The hotel is close to the beach and the beach has excellent pizza and drinks. We intend to go back to the hotel.
