Village Hotel Hull

I've been coming to this hotel for over 5 yrs now and every time I come Lindsay Sheard one of the breakfast staff is so welcoming and bubbly and caring she really makes my day! Massive thank you as its a lonely job staying away all the time but you really do make me feel like im at home x

Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Parking easy and plentiful.

Rude staff who service the rooms. Knock on the door 1hr before check out. Went to answer but had already moved to the next room when they realised we were still in the room. Ok, no big deal. 11:03, literally 3 minutes past checkout as we were checking we hand left anything, another bang on the door followed by a loud voice I couldn’t hear clearly. Opened the door and was greeted by “Have you paid for a late checkout?” No “good morning” do you know check out is at 11:00?” Literally opening line “have you paid for a late checkout out?” in a fairly aggressive tone. Definitely needs a little customer training.

Lovely first stay at a Village Hotel and will definitely stay again in a different location The best points….. Room size, bed size and comfort, beautiful large step in shower, room recently decorated to a very modern standard and spotless!!!! Quality of food fab and portion size Special shout out to breakfast ladies Jo and Lindsay taking time to explain the App for future stays and checking all was well on our first stay…. Bad points…… This one is EXTREMELY important SEEMS GYM USERS, WORKS VANS and basically ANYONE can and is parking in BLUE BADGE BAYS!!!!!!!!!! We couldn’t believe this!!! We struggled to get a bay ( being a genuine badge holder) and soon understood why!!!!! Blatant disregard by many and the Hotel needs to STOP this!!!! Staff we reported this to say ‘it’s been going on over 12 YEARS!!!!!!!! Disgusting reflection on Senior Management Also a negative Sunday Lunch menu quotes available from 12 noon but we were told not available at 6pm when we came to order??? No end time stated on menus.. Also breakfast finishing at 9am weekdays and staff clearing away from 8.30 and telling customers they need to basically get anything needed as done at 9!!!!! On the dot!!!!! Needs to be clearer that u need to have eaten your last ‘bean’ by 9am!!!! As opposed to being in the restaurant and eating before 9am!!!!! No hash browns at 8.30 as nearly ‘end’ of breakfast!!!!!!!
