I stayed at The Shurland Hotel Isle of Sheppey for 2 nights. I was impressed with the booking; it was straightforward. I had everything I wanted: free parking, free and excellent wifi, TV and they have a gym. Great location between Leysdown, Minster and Sheerness. The staff were very welcoming and polite. The room was nice, warm and very clean. I look forward to visiting in the future. Ryan from Birmingham

Me and my Sister stayed for one night and the staff were very kind and ever so helpful. Lovely room and it was just what we needed for a couple of days in Leysdown. Very reasonable priced. We will definitely go back there again.

Room was cold, no jacuzzi bath as advertised, smaller bed than stated. Uncomfortable bed. Breakfast was meant to be included but we got told we had to pay £5 each… If you are looking at staying here I highly recommend taste buds the burger van across the road does breakfast, chips, burgers and even steak!!

Avoid Avoid!!! Stayed at the Shurland for a wedding. OMG where do I start. Please avoid like the plague. The place was filthy after 10pm you have to use the side door which was like going into a refuge paint work was disgusting. Think dust on the skirting in bathroom with hair on it. Woke up on Saturday to bedbugs which I’m still itchy 2 days later. I’ve emailed the hotel but they have not got back to me. Also breakfast included which was stale crumpets, croissant’s warm coffee.

Never been to a more shocking place in my life. On arrival we showed them the confirmation of two nights in a family room as there was 4 of us to be told they had double booked it for the second night and given us a double room , expecting the kids to sleep on the floor. Told them this is unacceptable and we was not going to do that as it was their mistake. The staff were unhelpful and didn’t offer much help or solutions just kept repeating the same thing, the manager was even worst. We booked in FEBRUARY so not even just a couple days in advance so how they managed to double book shows how unprofessional this place is. Couldn’t see it was their fault for double booking and insisted it was our fault as we didn’t prepay however when we booked we said we can pay and THEY told us to pay on arrival. We had confirmation of our booking yet they still blamed us. We insisted we would be okay if they can provide us with a single room free of charge as it was their fault however they scammed us into paying another £50 for it on top of the £180 we had already paid as they “are not in the state to give out a room for free” no wonder they aren’t 😳 you couldn’t pay me to ever stay here again. Breakfast was awful just some toast , crumpets and coffee. Another person in our party had a single room and on checking in getting the keys she walked into a DIRTY room which hadn’t even been cleaned. Our room had been cleaned but was built up dust in corners , grim marks in the bath. The beds were the most uncomfortable mattresses ever and could feel the sprigs through them. This place has BEDBUGS as my mums came out with loads of them over her body and on complaining to them they have just blocked her instead of looking into it. Dirty , rude management , bed bugs , looks very dated and needs a lot of updating. I’m surprised this place is still open. Don’t make the same mistake as us and read the reviews and choose somewhere else as this place is a HEALTH HAZARD. TV also didn’t work on one room and the tv size is a joke anyway.

hotel with memager not suitable to do their job, I wonder how they can still rent rooms, I'll explain my trip, I arrived at the facility to stay 2 nights in this "hotel" in the middle of nowhere and we only stayed 1 night for the most part unpleasant stay without even any refund, when we arrived at the facility an Indian boy who was also quite rude welcomed us telling us in a very rude way that the room was not ready yet, my girlfriend and I said okay let's take the opportunity to eat something , let's start from the fact that there isn't a restaurant within a kilometer radius, and already there it was a problem, we said to ourselves, let's hope they cook well at the hotel restaurant (we were really hungry) when we went to book the table for in the evening we were told that the kitchen had not been working for some time. I'll let you imagine the panic, in the evening without any place nearby without having the possibility of renting a cab we were left without food all evening, it was truly a survival experience not to mention the breakfast included where they gave us two croissants bought at the supermarket with a little milk and two yogurts, really bad structure and (I'm not exaggerating) I'm leaving this review because I don't want other people to make this mistake of booking in a place where it's impossible to eat.

Free membership to the gym and sauna

Doors missing on cupboards. Walls paper thin. Kept awake most of the night from the sounds of the couple next door having sex. Also beds were very lumpy

The hotel itself seemed ok but we were only there one night and didnt spend a lot of time there. The bed sheets were clean but the room itself wasnt. It looked like years of thick grey dust built up on the light fitting, floor needed hoovering too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ok for a very short stay if your not expecting much
