Excellent location friendly and helpful staff spotless hotel

The staff were lovely, the pool was a great addition and it was a good hotel that had car spaces. Buffet breakfast had a good variety.

The garden room that we were in was quite dated but considering the cost it can be looked over. The fridge never really got cold, staffed attended promptly but it never really cooled our food etc.

When we got in to our room, we instantly noticed that the room had a very strong smell of mold. It was so bad that we thought of changing to another hotel. Also the room was not clean, there were some hair on The floor as well as some other dirt. The staff were kind to change the room to another one that was ok. Very old fashioned but clean. There were some issues with the airconditioning, it went off at times. Also there was a lot of noise from outside and from other rooms. You can hear everything from the room next to yours and If other visitors decide to have conversations at night there is nothing you can do about it. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. We found the atmosphere at breakfast a bit odd since 3 staff members were hanging out there and talking to each other - and not doing much anything else. This is a small thing but something I have not seen anywhere else.

We had a great time in Sorrento and loved staying here. The pool was a godsend in the heat and Rita and the team were always so polite, respectful and accommodating. It was just a stroll to the city centre or a cab. I would definitely recommend staying here for all ages.

Hotel Girasole is a typical stylish Italian family run hotel. We love traditional decor. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms were a great size with a balcony, AC throughout, and fab electric black out blind. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pool garden setting is idyllic with staff serving drinks and delicious food.

About a 10-15 minute walk to downtown but an easy walk at that!

Nice hotel, traditional old Italian style as described and exactly what we were expecting. Room good, older style, very clean, towels changed everyday and clean sheets which were also changed during our stay. Food, again as expected for a small hotel. Dinner menu given to us breakfast to complete, not a vast selection but what you expect for this style of small 3* hotel, all of the evening meals were good and tasty. Drinks very reasonably priced. Swimming pool in the garden was beautiful, very pretty and lovely and relaxing to come back to after our busy days out! Pool bar was good too. The hotel is family run and staff and other guests all very friendly. The road at the front is busy, so it is advisable to book a room at the back which we did, our room was quiet and overlooked the mountains. Easy to get to Sorrento, roughly 20 minutes on foot via the main road or via the back roads (much quieter!). We booked 3 Tui trips, 1) Amalfi coast 2) Pompeii & Herculaneum 3) Island of Capri, with optional boat trip which we did and was well worth it! The trips were excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to book similar again, all very organised, we saw and learned loads, and met some nice people. We booked the trips while on holiday on the website/app and managed to find discount codes for them all taking 10% off. Sorrento is very busy so booking the trips takes away any stress of finding your own way round, timings of train, buses etc! Tui also did a FREE walking tour the day after we arrived which was excellent. We did walk to the old harbour, Marina Grande where the fishing boats are and also a public beach and few nice bars/cafes. We picked Hotel Girasole as they offered the half board option at a good price which was great to come back to after busy days out, nice little terrace outside to have an after dinner drink too!

Just home. Loved everything about this hotel! We had a garden view room at the back of the hotel. The staff were so friendly, rooms immaculate, pool gorgeous, pool side cafe perfect and evening meals delicious! It’s a 20 minute walk into town, which in the heat was tiring at the end of a busy day, and we are walkers, but if you turn right out of the hotel then immediately right, you will find a quieter, more pleasant walk into the centre. All in all we had a wonderful week in Hotel Girasole!

The staff was amazing, the pool area was so nice and the vibe at the hotel was very lovely. Cozy and relaxing environment.
