Hotel Girasole

Härligt med den fina poolen och bra att kunna köpa kaffe, dricka , glass vid barpoolen. Ca 30 minuters promenad in till gamla delen i stan för restauranger och butiker . Man behöver kunna gå på smal trottoar och var försiktig med trafiken . Personalen var väldigt hjälpsam och trevlig , vi fick bra tips! Om du kommer med tåg så kan du ta en lokal liten buss till och från hotellet , stannar ca 100 m därifrån. En promenad på ca 30 min tar dig till La Marinella som är bad med stolar och parasoll. Jättefint ! kostar ca 22 euro per person men det var det värt. Ta på bra skor om du skall gå dit ! Fantastisk frukost med mycket goda pajer och kakor om man gillar det , även ägg , korv bröd pålägg yoghurt och allt man behöver . Ibland fanns det inte varmt vatten i duschen men det funkade ändå . Kändes lugnt och tryggt och var ett perfekt hotell att bo på om man vill kombinera staden med en lugn oas och även kunna ligga vid poolen när man vill. Vi skulle absolut bo här igen om vi åkte till Sorrento.

Vi gillade allt. Saknades dock brandvarnare i annexet som vi bodde i . Varken i korridoren eller på vårt rum fanns det brandvarnare . Borde vara lätt åtgärdat, viktigt för säkerheten!

This was our third year staying at Hotel Girasole, and once again it exceeded all our expectations. The superb family-run hotel is perfectly located on the outskirts of Sorrento, with easy walking distance to buses, trains, ferries, and the centres of Sorrento and St Agnello. Perfect location for travelling, sightseeing, or relaxing. The pool and garden areas are absolutely beautiful—surrounded by citrus trees and vibrant flowers, with plenty of sunbeds available at any time of day. The entire property—rooms, garden, pool, and restaurant—is spotlessly clean. Towels were changed daily, and bed linen regularly, which really added to the comfort of our stay. Breakfast offered a wide range of delicious options, and dinner choices were just as varied and enjoyable. The restaurant and bar staff were outstanding—always attentive, friendly, and genuinely happy to help, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room had a fabulous view of the Gulf of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and the surrounding villages and mountains, as well as the hotel’s stunning garden. Despite being located on a busy road, the noise didn’t affect our stay at all. What stands out at Hotel Girasole is the staff and the owners. Their warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality made our two-week stay unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to returning next year. Thank you all for another fabulous stay—we’ll see you in 2026.

It was so overpriced for what we got

Just back from a fabulous week at Girasole - what a little gem of a hotel! Family and staff were welcoming, helpful and genuinely want you to enjoy your time in their hotel and surrounding area. May seem a little old fashioned at first but soon realise that's part of it's traditional charm, feels like you're sharing their home. Rooms were clean, well maintained, air conditioned with comfy beds. Swimming pool very pretty, surrounded by citrus trees and yet never any leaves etc in the pool. Constantly maintained. Always enough sun beds and umbrellas, nobody laying out towels to 'save' sunbeds for later. Plenty of choice for breakfast (bread, cheese, ham, eggs, pastries etc) and delicious homemade 3-course evening meals. 15/20 mins walk into Sorrento. 20 min walk to public (free) beach through the caves - well worth the walk, beautiful cove for swimming. There was nothing to dislike!

An exceptionally clean and welcoming hotel – truly spotless, with floor tiles gleaming like a mirror. The staff is incredibly attentive, making you feel completely at home. If I ever return to Sorrento, I already know exactly where I’ll stay.

I couldn’t quite connect with the kitchen staff. Their excessive attention and constant hovering felt a bit uncomfortable. A bit more warmth and friendliness would have been appreciated.

The staff at the Girasole are extremely helpful and friendly. It is a family-run traditional hotel. The breakfast was excellent. We had a stunning view from a large balcony, overlooking the sea and the mountains. The pool area is beautiful. There are plenty of sun loungers. You can order snacks by the poolside. The pool itself is big enough to swim lengths in if you wish to. It is a quiet and relaxing space.

Nothing. The walk into town is a good 15 minutes plus. We did not mind this.

Family atmosphere and very helpful staff. Property was spotless, very clean.
