The Windermere Rooms at The Wateredge Inn, Ambleside

Brilliant location. Good parking. Nice food.

I likes the facilities and how friendly all the staff were. There eating facilities over the road was convenient, food was nice and the views were incredible.

The beds were too hard and our room was positioned on the firs floor near a stairs. Throughout the night you could hear people walking along the landing and up the stairs. I don't think the issue was people disrespectfully walking with heavy feet, rather the floor being incredibly hollow. This is also backed by the fact I could hear people in adjacent rooms very clearly. In addition you can see light from the corridor around the door. Curtains are not full length but are black out which voids their function since in the morning, or even at night with powerful street lights, the light pours into the room. The bathroom had no ventilation so following a hot shower the room remained humid and damp to the point you can see the room is perminantly damaged from this happening many times previously.

The bedroom was very clean . Apart from some pasties had been left in the wardrobe which was very strange! And not very clear about what time breakfast was !ad we arrived just before 10.15 and all the breakfast had been put away .
