"Warm, welcoming, relaxing and beautifully cared for."

Our stay at Hamlet Downs was a highlight of our Tassie trip. Our accommodation was spacious, comfortable with everything we could want. Also our meals at Hamlet Downs were excellent. Trish is a great chef and is award winning with her condiments and a range of smallgoods so breakfast and dinners were so tasty and plentiful!! One of us (me) is a vegetarian but this was not an issue at all and I loved her vegetarian menu. We were very spoilt. Both of the hosts Steve and Trish were so friendly and fun. Steve took us on a farm tour which was so enjoyable, meeting all the animals (Particularly Reggie) and just enjoying farm life and beautiful views. Also Steve is a great guy so it was so nice to spend time with him. My partner and he spent time talking farms and tractors!!

That we only spent two days there. It was a joy!!

Everything about our stay was great. Friendly hosts, comfortable rooms, and the evening meals were excellent. We chose Hamlet Downs as we wanted to spend a few days walking in Mount Field National Park. It was ideal. Would definitely recommend it.

"Beautiful perfect end to our holiday."

Everything about this place is amazing. The most comfortable bed of our stay. Steve and Trish are amazing hosts. Trish’s food is top notch and Steve invited us to the animal feeding which was my daughter’s highlight of the trip. They are a great team and we will be back. Next time will call or book on their website. Recommend everyone does that as well.

We had a wonderful time at Hamlet Downs. Big thanks to Trish&Steve, who welcomed us warmly and made our stay so enjoyable. I would like to highlight the beautiful farm, where you can truly unwind, away from the crowds. And of course the excellent breakfast and dinner, the best meals we had during our 3 weeks trip!

Beautiful, peaceful location, close to Mount Field and the Berry farm. We stayed in the Hideaway house which was very comfortable, extremely clean and had everything we needed. Hosts Steve and Trish were always quick to respond. We ordered meals for both nights and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back.
