Home cooked food was great, and Steve was fantastic with whatever we needed

lots of flies and mosquitos and couldn't find any spray to use (windows open due to the heat and several have no fly screen)

Cosy accommodation in a rural setting. Trish and Steve are very nice hosts. Steve invited us on a short tour of the farm to feed the animals. There was a fantastic view over the farm. The dinner prepared by Trish was wonderful. We spent a cosy evening by the open fire. The firewood was ready. Thank you very much for the lovely stay.

Food could be ordered at an extra cost. We had a 2 course meal on two nights. Delicious! The property has resident platypus and we spotted 2 happily feeding away. Gardens lovely and a pair of Splendid Wrens provided entertainment regularly at the dining room window. Bed was very comfortable. Great location close to Mt Field NP.

Chance to walk around the farm

Heaters on before we arrived very much appreciated Loved the gardens and the animals Unique experience going with Steve up the hill to feed the pigs Steve came promptly when we rang the bell for help with TV Delicious dinner brought to our room

Needed more space to put luggage coats etc we had 2 large suitcases. Sorry we didn’t get to meet Trish. Needed a tea towel and dishwashing liquid Had to wash cups etc in bathroom sink and filling kettle awkward.

Hamlet Downs provides a peaceful and relaxing stay with delicious meals available. Steve & Trish are attentive hosts who are ready to ensure their guests are looked after and well catered for. Our stay included a pleasant walk to see the view from top of the hill and the resident pigs. Exploring the farm, we also met the sheep, alpacas, ducks, goats and chickens. Comfort and tranquillity were the order of the day with this quiet country accommodation.
