Best Western Appleby Park Hotel

We stayed here twice whilst travelling to and from Devon. The rooms are very clean, bed and pillows are comfortable and the staff were always friendly and helpful. They always made a fuss over our dog and made sure she had water and a sausage for breakfast. One lady even noticed our dog had gotten a new lead and collar from our previous visit a week earlier! They really made you feel welcome. We also had an evening meal here which was lovely and arrived quickly. But the breakfast buffet was amazing! They did me some gluten free toast separately in the kitchen but all of the other hot items were safe for me to eat. All very tasty and hot. Lots of choice for toast such as honey, Nutella, jams and marmalade. No gluten free cereals but lots of choice for the rest of my family. Also fruit, cheese, meat and yogurts. And all of that included in our nights stay of £63!! Amazing value and so much more comfortable than travelodge, premier inn etc. Would definitely stay with this chain again.

Great place to stay, close to major routes just a shame other guests had no respect for others by letting thier doors slam shut jusy before midnight ! Not the hotels fault would definitely stay again !!!!

Excellent hotel! The staff were so friendly, I’ve never felt more welcome at a hotel before. They were happy to help with anything we needed. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfy. We used this hotel while attending download festival and the location was perfect. It was a 15 minute, easy drive along the main road to get there. It was also great having a fuel station and McDonald’s across the road too. The only downside was the noise in the mornings, we were woken up a couple of times by the sound of doors opening/closing frequently and people walking on the floor above. That said, I don’t believe it was too early and was partly our fault being up late the night before. Without a doubt this will become our go to place when we’re in the area from now on. Couldn’t ask for more. A huge thank you to all the staff.

Great, clean room with a comfortable bed. The food at the restaurant was good too. Perfect location for an overnight stay before Download! Will definitely stay again.

Very convenient great bed

Bathroom was dated. It would have been helpful to have a separate note of how to operate the temperature of the shower as the markings had rubbed off. We worked it out eventually.
