Silva Beach Hotel

Stayed at silva beach for 11 days with my partner. The location was perfect. The hotel was a little dated in places but overall a lovely place. The staff are really friendly. Sissy at front desk and Pety on the top bar. They were really lovely, always smiling and chatty. I loved both pool areas pleasant to relax around and swim in. The food got repetitive and we ended going out for food now and again but this is expected for 11 days all inclusive. Overall a lovely holiday.

Location - spot on. Close to the main centre. The hotel is a little tired but I felt it added to the authenticity and the feel of a Cretan village. Our room was spotless and refreshed daily. Staff were helpful, friendly and you could feel they wanted you to have the best stay. Food and drink were good although the local restaurants made a nice change on a couple of nights. We would recommend Yamas for a traditional Greek experience. We tend not to return to the same place when we holiday but would have no problem recommending Silva Beach.

Food very good staff fantastic great location bit of a shock €140 tourist tax. Beer and wine only okay. The best thing was certainly the staff ALL spot on. The Burger bar well worth a visit and the Italian okay both included in the all inclusive package. Local bars are much better beers and wine but coming from the north found them a little expensive (certainly not Spanish prices). Forgot to mention Chinese also included I think 3 nights that’s very good.

We’ve just finished a week at Silva Beach and overall had a lovely time but can’t understand the 4 and 5 star reviews personally! 🙈 It’s definitely more of a 3 star hotel. The pool by the sea front area was quite dirty (a bag and tissues all floating around the bottom), the food was generally nice if you find something you like. Some nights we didn’t really find anything for us! We ended up eating out 3/4 nights even though we were all inclusive which is a shame. The drinks again are okay. There’s a few cocktails which when done properly were quite nice. We found that the beach bar didn’t seem to always do them properly and sometimes the Pepsi tasted like cleaning products if you had a drink first thing 🙈. The room we stayed in was desperate for an update and it was quite far away from the main hotel area (annex). The sunbeds at the pool by the beach are nice and we enjoyed sitting on the day beds on the beach. Staff are really nice, room was always clean (minus the floor), excellent location there’s lots to do. Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return to this area but unfortunately not to Silva Beach.

Wonderful hotel! Excellent location — we loved the design, which felt like a Greek village. We stayed in a second-floor room with a balcony and a partial sea view, and it was perfect. Most of the day we were out exploring, as we rented a car, but we spent our mornings and afternoons at the hotel. The meals were excellent — very diverse and delicious. We especially loved the Greek dishes. Even the snacks between meals were perfect — you really don’t need anything more. The alcohol included in the “all-inclusive” package was great; we particularly enjoyed the local beer and wine. The beach is simply beautiful — rocky and stunning. There are plenty of lovely spots to sit and have a drink: by the pool bar and the beach bar. We came with two teenage daughters, so we didn’t need noise or entertainment at the hotel — the peacefulness was actually a blessing. In short, everything was tasteful and well done. We had a wonderful time.

There are a few small things that felt a bit petty. For example, charging for the safe that’s already in the room — that’s a bit strange. I’ve never encountered that in any other hotel. Also, charging for weighing suitcases in the lobby… how much can they really make from that? Why not just offer these services for free? In addition — this didn’t bother us much since we arrived toward the end of the season — but the air conditioner in our room was very noisy (like a tractor). It wasn’t fixed despite our request (I assume it’s not something that can be repaired on the spot). As mentioned, we barely used it, so it didn’t really matter to us. Twice, the doors to our rooms didn’t lock properly — they literally stayed open. A technician came and fixed it, but it’s not pleasant to discover that your room door won’t close. The bathroom door also closed with difficulty (probably the wood had swollen). It didn’t bother me personally, but others might find it annoying. In other words, the hotel is a bit “old.” I personally didn’t mind, and it didn’t spoil my stay — but for someone who’s very particular, it might be an issue.

Stayed at Silva Beach for one week with grown up family , Lovely location,Nice comfy rooms , great pools, Good selection of food and drink . Would definatly recommend at this time of year and would stay again

Me and my husband went to this hotel and it was the best vacation I could wish for, there are amazing views everywhere you look, the room view is so good and the staff is especially friendly and nice, though I would like for there to be more options of food that don’t include pork. The staff like I said they treat you so good and I liked on guy more than the others his name is Sifis if I remember correctly, the way he speaks gently and the way he works and helps you, you can see that he does his work from his heart and I like that very much and just because of him I would come back to this hotel (and also the views).

Not sure if this is 4 star as more like a solid 3 star hotel Rooms basic bit clean Food - repetitive and not as much choice as I was hoping for but burger restaurant and Italian were an added bonus to break it up - both were ok! Pool are was fine and staff were excellent Location is fab and lots of restaurants, bars in immediate area Don’t think I would return as family of 3 paid £3500 for 10 days just before school broke up for summer and feel I could get better value for money
