The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa

Unfortunately, we weren't very impressed with The Royal Paradise Hotel and Spa. The rooms are tired, rust around taps, mold in the shower, water marks on the furniture and in need of painting. The first night was so noisy that we literally didn't go to sleep for the noise outside. Reception was friendly and moved our room but wouldn't refund as we requested. We really wanted to go to another hotel. The buffet breakfast was not good - very limited 'western food'. We ate there only twice and both times it wasn't good so we went to a cafe for breakfast after that. Over the next few days the safe broke so we had to wait a while to get that fixed. The sliding door to the balcony was broken and only my husband was able to close it with lots of strength. There were also lots of tiny bugs - smaller than ants but not sure what they were but they were running over the furniture. The tv also didn't work. The pool is really lovely. Good size and lovely surrounding gardens. It did seem silly that we could only use one towel. I wanted 2 towels, 1 to put on my chair because the seats were boiling hot and one to put around me to get out of the pool. Someone came over so quick and demanded that I put 1 towel back. I thought that was so unnecessary - surely 2 towels isn't a big deal. The staff at the front desk, porters and the cleaning staff were really lovely. Average service by others - pool, bar etc. We would have much preferred to get our money back and go somewhere else. It is a tired hotel that badly needs updating and refining - fake flowers everywhere with decor that doesn't match and looks cheap. Definitely looks much better in the photos then it does in real life a few other couples we spoke to said the same thing.

Put the pastry chef was the highlight of the stay very kindly making gluten free pancakes for the 3 celiacs in our group each morning. The hotel in the new section was modern and clean we were in the other wing where the rooms with more beds are and three rooms were very basic and a bit unclean. The area is ok but not great at night for children. Pool area was nice tho.

One word describes this hotel, DATED. First, the positives. The location is in the heart of everything. If you're in Phuket to party this is a great place to stay. The views from the tower are amazing, so try to get one of those rooms if you can instead of the low rise ones. The staff understands how to be in the hospitality industry. Now let's get to the negatives. The décor in the hallway and the rooms needs a overhaul. Also the bed was harder than steel. There is a ramp to the low rise unites and it is STEEP! Very hard to navigate with luggage. The shower was very tiny. The rooftop bar was smaller than the rooms and should not even exist. I don't know why they wouldn't have updated it but it looks like something from the 70's.

We asked to cancel the rest of our stay and then went somewhere else after the first night stay.

Great location with friendly staff and amazing pool!

We had a very odd experience staying at this hotel. Our second day there, the staff came into our room unannounced and told us we had to run the water for some reason, so we did. However, later that night the shower would not work. Additionally, there was virtually no privacy given to us. There were multiple instances where the staff entered our room unannounced and without knocking or asking if they could enter. I felt very uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay because I felt as if someone could walk in at any moment. Overall, very strange experience and probably would not stay here again.

Very friendly staff especially yui she was very helpful and nice always smiling . Very clean rooms and the breakfast is really nice with nice team.. The only thing they need maybe to renovate the dining room the carpet smells otherwise the swimming pool. The lobby all are very nice.

great location, large rooms, get a sea view upper floor if you can.
