Cape Panwa Hotel

We had a truly fantastic two-weeks holiday at Cape Panwa hotel. Our room was enormous, very well-maintained and has a huge and private balcony with beautiful views. There are five restaurants to choose from and a range of entertainment every night. We mostly visited Cafe Andaman as they have a different themed cuisine every night. Thai Street food night was one of our favourites. Panwa house is beautiful, serves fantastic Thai food and hos seafood nights with amazing fire shows a couple of times a week. I also really enjoyed Caesar salad at Top of the Reef. Wherever we ate in the hotel, food and drink was fresh, delicious and generously served. Breakfast could get busy every now and then but the food constantly gets replenished, is fresh, delicious and a lot to choose from. What really enhanced and impressed us on our holiday was the staff - genuinely kind, courteous, attentive and hardworking. To name a few, our thanks go to Orn, Bao, Bew, Sombat, Somphong, Pim and the house keeping team. A few tips: - Panwa is the perfect location for our holiday. It is located in a quieter part of the island. It is, however, in an easy reach of Phuket town and does not suffer from traffic jam. With a small fee, the hotel offers daily shuttles to Phuket Old town, Central Shopping Mall and Patong. - The hotel is situated on a hill. It is a short walk to the local village and seafront, which comes alive from late afternoon with street food and drink stalls and some souvenirs mobile shops. The hotel provides free shuttles from the hotel to the village and back all day. There is also a 7-11 shop in the village, several bars and massage shops. We will definitely come back to Panwa and Cape Panwa Hotel.

CAPE PANWA is a hotel you want to go back to! Chosen for a quiet holiday and were very pleased. I really want to say thank you to reception staff. Always polite, smiley, friendly, willing to help. I especially want to mention Margo!She is great professional. We really grateful to meet her.We booked full board and she help us by booking in advance to 4 different restaurants.WHAT A TREAT! We chosen CAPE PANWA also for private beach and all the environment was amazing! Special thank you with providing us with ocean tide schedule on the side bed table it was very helpful as we can plan our day and spend it with 100 %. Especially we want to thanks all team for the breakfast buffet! The shuttle service provided down to the town was excellent, and saved a very steep walk in the hot conditions. The room was nice with a big balcony.

Lovely clean hotel , staff are so friendly , always speak and ask how your days been , food nice selection, got upgraded to a sea view the room was large , shower lovely and hot at all times grounds kept nice plenty off sun loungers

We usualy stay at kantary bay hotel but it was fully booked.so it was our 50th wedding Anniversary so stayed at cape panwa.it cerainly isnt a 5 star hotel.our room was way up all the stairs .asked to change rooms charged us £195 disgusting .food was awful was cold im not the only person to say this as new couples that were eating out every night .that was terrible as its full board .in room we thought og 2 small cans beer and 2 small bottles wine .so thought its our anniversary .and boom they charged us £45 .appalling .i new few couples were poorly after eating the food one was in bed 2 days .i was in bed with pporly tummy husband went to chemist to get me medicine .so had to eat something next morning husband went to get me toast as i was poorly in bed and couldnt take medicine on an empty tummy .he got me toast and waiter ran after him mr where you going with that .we paid for that full board .also when you go for eveninv meal not even a jug of water on tanle you had to pay for it.digusting

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The grounds and beach was excellent and the food likewise. Especially the breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. The shuttle service provided down to the town was excellent, and saved a very steep walk in the hot conditions. The room was nice with a big balcony. The only problem was a noisy air-conditioning which was an irritation. However, overall a lovely stay.

On arrival at the hotel early evening, it was difficult to ascertain how the restaurant worked as little information given or written anywhere. The offer of “themed” nights for 850 bat in the "main restaurant" running alongside the Al a Carte was really confusing. Some of the places to eat needing to book a table, we only utilised the Italian - Uncle Nans as there was little vegetarian choice and really no vegetarian options for Thai food which was disappointing. The "bar" is not in the lobby as such and this means there is no central meeting/seating place. The bar is in "the Lighthouse" just slightly up the hill from the hotel, really lovely place to sit for a drink, with great happy hour cocktails. When looking at the prices remember they add a 17%tax to the price advertised. (10% service and 7%vat) Service was painfully slow in the Bamboo beach bar it often looks overwhelmed with customers. We didnt use the pool near the hotel, but did use the pool bar once. The Bamboo bar actually forgot our order one day, we left with no lunch with no offer of a free drink. This also happened when we ate in Uncle Nans, forgetting our order, they did at least give us a complimentary glass of wine. The beach is actually stunning, and a great reason to stay here, with lots of beds, as there was the usual performance of people “bagging” beds early here and at the hotel pool. There are 2 pools one at the beach and 1 at the main part of hotel. People staying at the sister hotel Kantry apartments can use the beach/pool. The Qr codes in the rooms supposedly for information re dining etc only take you to a link with a description, there is no menu available. Most of the beach is coral and rock so bring a pair of shoes for swimming especially recommended when it is high tide. Shuttle bus up / down the hill to Cape Panwa is brilliant running pretty much non stop all day, there is a night market along the seafront every evening, worth a walk. We paid 200 bat each to go into old Phuket with the hotel shuttle 4 to 7pm, this was well worth it. Highly recommend the massage shop DIVA on the hill up from the hotel 500 bat for back, shoulders and neck 1 hour, highly professional. Generally we felt that the staff seemed very unmotivated and service for a 5* was not great. The hotel was clean however the room cleaning varied we often had wine glasses left on balcony as it obviously wasnt checked. The hotel is a quiet hotel and this is a selling point, some of the decor was a little tired. I would stay again as it would be worth it simpy for its location.

Cape Panwa Hotel is our favorite place on earth. We stayed at this hotel twice, in April and in December the following year and both times were exceptional. We got engaged on Panwa Beach and came back to have our wedding at Panwa house. Everything from the rooms, amenities, hospitality, staff, and management of our family and functions were top tier. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique Thailand experience and you can put your complete trust in them for anything you need. I will be back for our next anniversary!!

I must admit, I was not excited about traveling 24 hours to get to this hotel but I was so impressed with the whole experience! The facilities were clean and very attractive. The food was excellent. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We were especially impressed with Lisa, not only with her service in the main restaurant but also her knowledge of interesting things to do. She was very friendly and offered excellent advice. Activity offerings were fun and interesting. We had a wonderful time and plan to go back.

We came to panwa before covid we had a great stay everything was great,this time I would say it is more 3 star's than 5 the owners are living in the past, the service is terrible this is our last day and our last stay in this hotel,the food is great, but when you are claiming to be 5 star you should be on your game because claiming you are 5 stars is a big statement, I expect outstanding service not here, it's very sad because we did like capepanwa hotel,they have a great new operations manager William who i think he can turn thing's round if given the chance and wish him all the best he is a great person, but from our point of view 5 stars should be outstanding, I wish panwa all the best for the future and good luck to William, Mr and Mrs Bradley room L111

Wow, amazing time at Cape Panwa. The views from the room were amazing. The staff were super, especially Sandi and the team at the Bamboo bar, who always remember are drinks order The courtesy bus to the village was fun and very handy for the bar and restaurants. The light house bar offered happy hour and a great way to end the evening. Hotel management should be very proud of all of the staff at the hotel Thank you for an amazing holiday.
