Cape Panwa Hotel

We had a great stay at Panwa House. Beautiful location for a quiet and relaxing stay. Resort is located in the south of Phuket about 1hr 15min drive from airport and about an hours drive to Patong Beach. It is a large older style resort resort that is very well maintained. It has it's own private beach and two swimming pools. Breakfast was amazing and Panwa House has good Thai food. Shuttle bus runs frequently to small local town which has a 7/11 grocery store. The staff provide excellent service and are helpful and friendly. Room was large however a little far away from main reception and pool area, I would advise you to check the location of your room at check-in. Cape Panwa Spa was excellent. We had traditional Thai Massage which was amazing. The staff were well trained. I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Phuket.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We have visited Thailand on a number of occasions before, but this holiday was not about the shopping and nightlife that the bigger cities has to offer. This was about a much needed 'fly and flop'. And Cape Panwa ticked all our boxes. We arrived close to midnight from Australia and were shown to our Junior Suite, which was many, many stairs away from everything and with no view from the balcony. We were offered to upgrade at a cost, but we were so tired, we just went to bed. The next morning we went straight to reception after many twists and turns to get there ! and were shown three options of rooms by Dear who was on Reception at the time. We chose a spacious room with a very large deck overlooking the sea - Room C303 which was close to Andaman Restaurant, the pool, the tram to the beach and the gym. Perfect for us. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The Housekeeping staff who kept our room spotless were always friendly and efficient. We dined at Panwa House 3 or 4 times during our stay. The setting was again perfect! and the food was delicious. The first night we were waited on by Tan who really looked after us and always went out of her way to welcome us each time we dined there. I had the pleasure of meeting the new Operations Manager, William. What a great example of 'hands on'. He was everywhere and he always took the time to greet us and listen to what we had to say. What an asset for the Hotel. Dining in Andaman Restaurant was always a pleasure. The food prepared by Chef was divine. We attended the Steak Night, Italian Night, and due to rain, we ended up having the Seafood Banquet there too instead of Panwa House. Our only disappointment, but there was nothing that can be done about the weather! The wait staff in the restaurant always went out of their way to welcome us either at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nuch, Lisa and Aon-Aon were always ready to greet us with a smile and show us to our favourite table. So appreciated. The live music provided by the band every night was excellent. They played and sang songs that we knew and loved. Another asset to the Hotel. Breakfast was our favourite meal of the day. There was healthy choices, both western and thai and we particularly enjoyed the 'healthy shots' to kick start our day. The fitness centre was small but met out needs. The only suggestion would be to provide disinfectant wipes, so the equipment can be wiped down after use. We did the day trip to Coral Island provided by the Hotel. Jay was our 'guide' for the day and made sure we were safe and happy, and helped us to navigate the wobbly jetty on and off the fast boat. He remembered and greeted us when we saw him on the beach over the days following our trip. My husband slipped in the small foot pool at the bottom of the stairs to the Panwa House pool, which was very slippery. Thankfully nothing was broken, but we reported it to reception staff, just in case we had to make a travel insurance claim if anything was broken. We asked for ice for his wrist, which was readily delivered. The ice did the trick and he was fine. The next day a beautiful card and bowl of fruit was delivered to our room. The staff were all very concerned, and the small pool was hosed out and cleaned every day after that. Reception staff, Alexandra, Dear, and the girl who delivered the fruit to our room (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) were always helpful and friendly. I had the pleasure of having four Thai massages during my stay. OMG they were amazing! 'Pony' and Mai were very skilled in their craft. The ladies at the Spa Reception were always complimentary and friendly. I would fly to Thailand just for these massages!!!! This holiday for us was perfect and would gladly return - in a heart beat! What an amazing Hotel, we have had such a fantastic 11 day break. Enjoyed many trips to take in all the area has to offer. The beach is beautiful and sandy. The staff are exceptional- so helpful. Special Thank You to Nuch, Aum, Aon-Aon, Liza and of course Hazel.

Location: top (romantic small privat beach, but many stones for enter the water...) Room: Junior suite sea view is beautiful room with a wonderful sea view Value: i booked a special promotion (3 nights 1 free) : we stayed 6 nights....very good value for money Cleanliness: ok, room cleaning could be better Sevice: very helpful, friendly stuff everywhere. Top Service. Food/quality: top...special events top (we booked the seafoof buffet at the beach: wonderful) Over all: the whole infrastucture is quite "old", but still high quality level Will come again......

Beautiful hotel. Amazing breakfast choice from the buffet. Looked after so well by Lisa, AonAon and Kip. And Aydeee. Room was kept very clean by lovely lady Pinyo. So much fun with the hotel band and beautiful singer Ice. We will be back for sure. Lovely pool boy Sem and Pim on reception helped us too. Staff really look after you and beautiful location.

What a huge disappointment. So humiliating. In the morning, you need to order your breakfast and if you are still hungry after you finish eating and try to order more food, the waiter looks at you as you want to steal the food.Before, this hotel had buffet breakfast and you had the opportunity to eat as much as you wanted,to choose what you liked, as much as you liked. Now, you can order once and if you need another slice of bread or another omelet, you will be treated as you are the most greedy person in the world.If you want another coffee or more cheese, the anger of the staff follows your request and the service is appalling. Never again at Cape Panwa. We stayed 2 weeks and every time we left the restaurant,in the morning, very hungry.In the evening,the food in the restaurant is so expensive, better empty stomach.Do not believe the good reviews about the food.If you want to lose weight, go to Cape Panwa.

This was our first time traveling to Thailand, and honestly, we didn’t know what to expect. But after spending ten nights at Cape Panwa, I can say with complete confidence that our expectations weren’t just met—they were blown out of the water. I could genuinely cry having to leave! We arrived at the resort around 9pm after more than 16 hours of travel and were warmly greeted with a refreshing towel and a cup of green tea. The lady at reception kindly offered us an upgrade and even took the time to show us the difference in suites. In the end, we chose to stick with our original booking—the Cape Suite with a garden view—as it actually overlooked the beach, while the upgraded room faced the pool. The suite was spotless, with the largest bed I’ve ever seen and quite honestly the best pillows I’ve had at any resort. The amenities were decent, though I’d recommend bringing your own shampoo and shower gel, as I found the ones provided a bit underwhelming. Also, the water doesn’t get particularly hot, but after a day in the Thai heat, a cooler shower is actually quite refreshing. Housekeeping was fantastic. Our room was always cleaned by lunchtime, and the staff were incredibly respectful and friendly whenever we encountered them. One thing I’ll never forget about Thailand is how deeply customer service is ingrained in the culture. Everywhere we went, people were smiling, warm, and always willing to help—and Cape Panwa exemplifies this beautifully. The service here is top-tier. Our stay included breakfast, which offered a good mix of local Thai dishes and Western staples like eggs, bacon, potatoes, and beans. The fresh fruit was absolutely delicious, and I especially loved the little yogurt pots waiting in the fridge each morning. Special shoutouts go to Sandy at the beach bar—her service was truly exceptional—and Hazel, who greeted us each morning at breakfast with a warm smile and kind words. They both made our stay even more memorable. Cannot wait to visit again!

We (family of four with 2 adult children) recently (Aug ‘25) stayed at Cape Panwa Hotel, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to an exceptional experience. The resort is set directly on a beachfront which is exclusive to the guests. We stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view private villa, which came with its own private pool. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and privacy. It felt like our own personal retreat within the resort. What really set our stay apart was the exceptional service across every part of the hotel. From the bell hop who welcomed and helped us with our luggage’s, to the front desk staff who made check-in effortless and had a big smile every time we see them, every team member made us feel genuinely cared for. The breakfast was another standout. The selection was generous, serving a mixture of western and local dishes, and the atmosphere in the breakfast restaurant was always inviting. A special shoutout to the chefs at the omelette station—each dish was perfectly made to order—and to the servers: Nuch, Hazel, Sompong, Arisara, Bea, Lisa, Anna, who were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. We booked airport transfer to and from the resort (ask for taxi #8, driver is accommodating and very friendly). A hotel staff greeted and assisted us at the airport on both occasions. Our departure was unbelievable. The guy walked us at every step of the way, from assisting with our luggage’s, checking in at the counter, paying off fees upstairs, and up to security. Now, that is truly above and beyond exceptional service. Will definitely go back!!!

My partner & I recently stayed for the first time for a period of 12 days. Our room was excellent, as it was our first visit we booked a junior suite but still had a great view. Breakfast was amazing, variety of options for everyone it seemed. One suggestion, with lots of Aussies staying here, possibly some sachets of Vegemite would be nice. The rooftop bar/ restaurant were closed for renovations but all of our meals were still very good including one night at Cape Panwa House. Staff were fantastic, smiling & helpful all the time. Our favourites were Lisa, Hazel, Sandy & Maggie. A hiccup for us was the Spa / massage centre as we had vouchers for 4 x 1 hour massages. Upon arriving for 2 of these, we we told our vouchers didn't cover oil which was ok but then we were told there was no upgrade for oil for our 1 hour massages & we would need to book for 90 minutes instead at a pretty steep price rise (over 1,000 baht each). We will definitely be back but please upgrade the music played every day at the beach, surely there's something more modern available than the loop that drones on & on.... Awesome place for a holiday.

An amazing hotel. Thanks to Alexandra at reception who looked after us with an ocean view suite upgrade. The lovely staff at the Andaman Cafe Lisa, Aon2, Bew, Jenny and James who took care of all our dining needs. A special thank you to the gorgeous Hazel who went above and beyond taking care of us also at the Bamboo Bar along with the lovely Sandy. Our suite was huge and absolutely wonderful. We will be back next year for another relaxing, peaceful holiday. Thank you 😊 🙏
