Cape Panwa Hotel

The Cape Panwa Hotel is situated on Cape Panwa Beach, located in the southern part of Phuket. It is quite a distance from other popular attractions, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway. The hotel is expansive, offering a wide variety of room types. My seaview room was excellent: spacious, clean, comfortable, and complete with a balcony. There are numerous restaurants within the hotel. The Panwa House, a Thai restaurant, is a must-try. Breakfast offers a good variety of food, though nothing particularly stands out. The hotel also provides a gym, spa, two swimming pools, and a kids' room. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

Great place to stay,beautiful beach, room was very comfortable clean and very spacious, the staff here are on the next level(special thanks to Hazel & Aon-Aon who made us feel so welcome) the resort is massive with so much to take in with extended ocean views and beautiful gardens. Then you have the food which is amazing, you have a choice of 3 restaurants to choose for diner plus there is the Bamboo Cafe by the beach, the best breakfast,s buffet you could ever wish forThank you Cape Panwa we can’t wait to return.

What an amazing resort………we are having a fantastic stay. The food at all of the restaurants is wonderful. We upgraded to an ocean view room and it was well worth it. Sitting on our deck in the late afternoon is so relaxing. The staff are exceptional especially our room attendant. Nothing is too much trouble. The massages we had at the Cape Spa were the best ever. The staff there are so professional. I would like to make a special “thank you” to the General Manager, Voytek Klasicki, for the lovely card and cake that was delivered to our room on my birthday. What a lovely gesture! We still have a few days left here before our departure. We will definitely enjoy every last minute and we hope to return next year. Thank you very much to all of the staff at the Cape Panwa Hotel.

We last stayed at the Cape Panwa Hotel in May 2025, so apologies that this review is a little bit late. Hopefully someone will find it useful..... We frequently stay at the Cape Panwa Hotel, and it really holds a place in our hearts. This is the ideal place for some peace and quiet, which was exactly what my husband needed while recovering from an illness. Our airport transfer, arranged directly with the hotel, worked perfectly, and we arrived at the hotel in the middle of breakfast service. When we arrived at the hotel, we were met by Maggie (the guest relations manager), who quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. We had the same room that we've had for every stay at Cape Panwa. We love it's position with views over the beach and out to sea. The bed had been decorated with a huge 'Welcome Back' message from our maid, and there was also a fruit bowl and a bottle of wine on the table. We booked two afternoon teas in advance of our stay, one to be a Thai afternoon tea, and one to be a Traditional afternoon tea. The Thai afternoon tea is a new offering from the hotel, and we can thoroughly recommend it! We find this to be a wonderfully relaxing way to spend the afternoon. The food served is plentiful and also of excellent quality and variety. Chef Woody, you did yourself proud - Thank you! On the day that we had our traditional afternoon tea, there was torrential rain, so this was moved to Top of the Reef for us. It was lovely - We had the restaurant to ourselves and really enjoyed the air conditioning during the afternoon heat. We also dined several times at Top of the Reef - Our favourite evening dining experience. The food again was excellent quality and variety. On this trip, we only ate from the set menu, as there is so much choice. I can highly recommend the sea bass - far better than I can get from restaurants at home. Service here is always low key, but attentive and the staff are so polite and look after you really well. Thanks to Supatra for making all our visits to Top of the Reef so special, both for afternoon tea and dinner. Maggie is doing a great job across reception and guest relations. She's always available and always has a smile. Jakob excels in the role of the Assistant Manager. He's very passionate about his job, is very 'hands-on' and always makes himself available. Both will always go out of their way to ensure that guests are having a great time. It is always good to see our old favourites - Mhai, Pong, Jhar, Ivy, Sandy, Surasak and Kasim. These members of staff always go the extra mile to ensure that you have the best time possible while you're on holiday. Also deserving of a mention are Ice (with her beautiful voice and talent at the piano) in Otters Bar, and the resident band who we consider to be amazing in Cafe Andaman. It is now July 2025, and we are only 11 weeks away from returning to Cape Panwa and we can hardly wait. Aside from this, we already have another booking at the Cape Panwa for July 2026 too! A big 'Thank You' to Khun Voytek, for all the things you did for us before and during our stay, it was very much appreciated, and is one of the reasons why we keep returning. See you all soon. Every thing was just perfect the food fantastic and what a choice of menu for each meal. The staff were somthing else, words can not express the service we were given from the house maids to the CEO. A special mention to Lezel, James and Hazel these three deserve much more in the work place and life, nothing was too much trouble always there to serve. We recently stayed at the Cape Panwa Hotel as a family group of 6 to celebrate our sons 30th birthday, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the Reception Team, who were clearly expecting us. Maggie was especially helpful, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged for our stay. Our rooms were spotless and the thoughtful Welcome Home message created by Housekeeping was a lovely touch that made us feel right at home. On the day of our sons 30th birthday the team at the Bamboo Bar surprised him with a complimentary birthday cake at lunchtime and they all sang Happy Birthday. A big thank you to Sandy who was simply outstanding throughout our stay - She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and always with a warm smile. That evening we celebrated with dinner at Top of the Reef, were once again we were treated with genuine warmth and care. The piano music by Ice was as always perfection, setting the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The food was 5 star European Cuisine, and the service matched in every way. As a surprise we booked the Panwa Lodge for two nights for his birthday, but due to an issue with the air conditioning the hotel immediately upgraded him to the Absolute Suite, which was absolutely stunning with views for miles. Reception staff were incredibly accommodating in arranging this for us. Later in the trip my husband and I moved to the Absolute Suite as it was so stunning. A highlight of our suite experience was afternoon tea service, provided twice by Aonaon - her attention to detail and intuitive service was flawless. We have stayed at The Cape Panwa hotel several times, but this visit has clearly shown that the hotel has raised the bar in terms of customer service. Every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. We are already planning our return visit next year.

Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Amazing delicious breakfast, lovely staff and special mentioned LIZA at Cafe Andaman her exceptional and excellent service, attentiveness, polite and sweet smile all the time. Overall this is a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

I vividly remember my stay here last 2024 and immediately after my stay, I already decided that I’m going to celebrate my birthday here once more. This 2nd time, it changed my life “I like Phuket & this hotel” into “I LOVE Phuket & this Hotel.” I stayed much longer and it felt like 1-week of Birthday celebrations: from the beach, food, view, the Panwa House, massage, and the total experience. To top everything, the staff celebrated my birthday with me, so special shout out to Liza, Apn-Aon, James, Jahjah, and Alexandra. You all made my birthday extra special. Once more , from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much Cape Panwa Hotel for the 5-star experience and priceless memories. Until we meet again.

We went to Cape Panwa Resort originally in September, 2024 based off a recommendation from Family, we came back this year and have already started planning 2026. The attention to detail from all of the Staff is beyond reproach. I would particularly like to give a shout-out to Aonaon, Nuch and James for their help during our stay. They made us feel like Family. The food at Cafe Andaman is great- a la Carte, voucher or buffet - all have a wide selection to keep anyone happily full. We will definitely see you again soon 🙏🏼

I’ll start by admitting that I’m terrified of boats and usually get seasick just floating on a lilo! But my family has visited Banana Beach many times and finally persuaded me to give it a go. So much of this experience comes down to trust, and knowing Jay from the beach at Cape Panwa Hotel gave me that confidence. His care and kindness towards guests is always clear, so I knew I’d be in safe hands. From the moment we met at hotel reception, Jay made sure everyone felt comfortable and looked after. He was attentive as we boarded the boat, ensuring everyone was at ease. To my surprise, the ride to Banana Beach was actually enjoyable! Once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, guided to our designated seats, and provided with snorkels and masks. The crystal-clear water offered a stunning view of the vibrant marine life, it was like peeking into another world. Lunch from the beach bar was delicious and very reasonably priced. Before we headed back, Jay let us know that due to a change in weather, we’d be returning directly to the hotel rather than stopping for a second snorkelling spot. That thoughtful update just reinforced how professional and safety-conscious he is. I had a fantastic day; far beyond my expectations, and I’m already planning to go again during my next visit to Cape Panwa Hotel in November!
