Comfort Inn Downtown - University Area

The Staff was good and helping.

I didn't like their 3pm check in and 11am checkout policy.

I was in town for a conference. The property is old but clean, breakfast was fine every morning (always eggs and a choice of meat), the staff was helpful. I would stay there again.

The heater in the room was CLEARLY known to caught electrical issues. Instead of not using the room, warning me, marking it, they just... left it. So when i turned it on it began to smoke. Switched rooms - new room had no fridge. Switched rooms AGAIN and they put me in the original smokey room. It took HOURS just to get a room that i could safely be in. Several outlets i had to use/saw had clear scorch marks from previous electrical issues. I did not feel safe there and after the final room change i had to give up and deal with the cold when that room ALSO had electrical issues but i had to be at work early in the morning. To add insult to injury, i reached out to the manager - they never responded AND they kept my room deposit despite me leaving the room in good condition - i suspect because i complained so much about the unsafe conditions.

No curb appeal. I would think the place was Vacant. Weeds everywhere. No toilet lid, Cracked loose tile in the bathroom. Bathtub did not drain - that’s just disgusting. Hairdryer didn’t work. Tea packets were used on the dresser (that looked like it was a garage sale find) to level the dresser and also to keep a drawer from sliding open. Not the cleanest room. Lampshade was obviously ignored for years. There was what looked To be dry blood on the floor and drapes. The good thing was the location to downtown. Walking distance.

Dirty. Stains on the curtains. Bathroom was okay. Alarm clock didn’t work. Felt dirty. Not worth $165 and won’t ever stay there again.

The location was perfect for us. But the walls are paper thin and it was stinky, outdated and did not feel clean.
