Comfort Inn Downtown - University Area

I was really happy with how quit it was. They had a nice variety for breakfast.

Room conditions are poor.

The place is a dump. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way. Toilet barely flushed. Carpets are filthy. Bathroom towels are basically garage rags.

The faucet leaked while running, which was a minor annoyance and the access panel to the AC/Heater was broken, making it difficult to access the controls. Aside from this the room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, though they could probally use another waffle iron, as it was in use non stop.

Had to park on the street bc staff allowed big SUV to park sideways across 3 parking spots but mostly because there was a roach crawling on the wall in my room. Shook my belongings out and left

Roaches

Big room with small furniture. Lots of empty floor space. The dresser drawers wouldn't stay closed, and the rod in the closet was broken. Dim lighting in the bathroom and over the vanity. Broken tiles in the bathroom.

The room was surface clean. There was what looked like a blood stain in the carpet if our room. The first morning around 11 some housing insecure/crack and alcohol secure folks yelling obscenities in our hallway. They then went out in front of the building n drink bickerd at like noise level 10. This went on for 30 ish minutes. I spent about 30 minutes in the car in the parking lot smoking by cancer sticks. There was always some questionable looking activity happening in and from a vehicle. The cleaning lady was aggressively off putting. I asked for an additional towel, she said I couldn’t have one unless I gave her a dirty one. I took a garbage bag off her cart and she scolded me😂. She then antagonized our exit for an hour every time I left the room for any reason. Everyone I encountered at the front desk was nice and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. The sausage looked like inedible. It was the only protein option.

Location

Could use some improvement. The tile in the bathroom on the floor was uneven and loose. The bathroom shelves were a little dusty. I’m not used to having the sinks outside of the bathroom
