Da Vinci's Hotel Derry

I stayed in room 208 on 21/11/24, I was woken up 8am from drilling and hammering and excessive noise from the room above this went on right through to check out, I had a meeting online at 10am I was asked to leave due to the noise when I reported this I was told there is nothing they can do and that they are sorry, no offer for refund of even a voucher I explained I lost out on work over this and they said it was the room above and agreed noise was bad but nothing they can do. Was handling so unprofessionally I have wrote the hotel a direct email about this and revived no response.. I showed the girl on reception the videos I took of the noise and she didn’t seem to care

The manners and attitude of the staff were first class.Could not have been nicer or more helpful during our long weekend.from Ann &Stephanie in reception to all the bar and restaurant staff a big thank you.Our room was very clean and great walk in shower .The location for us was great as it is a pleasant walk along the quayside to the coffee shops and restaurants then your in the centre

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. We ate in the restaurant and the food was beautiful. The service was excellent throughout and staff very professional.

Was a very lovely atay, about 20 mins into the city centre. Helpful and friendly staff.

Nice hotel, clean and the reception staff are very friendly (Erin was lovely) Good for parking, but not walkable to restaurants etc

Two beds one was perfect other one had peaks and troughs!

Overall, an ok hotel in an ok location but our 2 night stay was memorable for the hotel’s poor response to an issue. In 40 years of staying in hotels, I have never felt as threatened, unsafe and disturbed as I did staying in the Da Vinci Hotel in Derry on Saturday 12 October. From around 2.30am (when it woke us up) to at least 4.15am there was loud and unrelenting partying on our floor - in rooms and in the corridor and in the floor above - with people also knocking from door to door - including on our room. When my wife went into the corridor to tell them to be quiet at 3.15am, she was yelled at and they knocked on our door more. I then rang reception who said they’d called police and were evicting those involved. This didn’t happen and when I raised the issue again with reception in the morning, I was told to be quiet and the football team was now sitting in reception. We were however given a voucher towards a dinner at the hotel (and the meal was nice) and told we’d be contacted by management. This never happened and the promised email update was never received. I have now contacted the hotel on three occasions (using email, their ‘contact us’ portal and an email) to complain, and haven’t even received an acknowledgment. The bar and restaurant are nice but the rooms and hotel are more dated than it seems on their website.
