Mata Rocks Resort

We had to move from another property and there is no comparison of how the staff work. We had a very warm greeting with excellent service. Nice clean room, with very good air conditioning. Staff are very attentive. A really good experience.

No Wi-fi in the rooms, very limited dinning options. Almost nothing available for breakfast. Pizza from microwave.

Lovely small hotel on a the beach. The lovely and convenient rooms are situated around a lovely little pool. Derrell helped us with everything, and the bartender and cook were very nice. Great breakfast, cool drinks, and a pickleball court! You can borrow bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards.

Peaceful, clean, best view and best crew.

We loved Mata Rocks. My friend and I are two young women, and we felt completely safe and very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is very accessible to San Pedro via golf cart. Would suggest renting a cart directly from the hotel instead of getting one in the city center, where the prices are marked up. The staff were so lovely to us, and we would recommend this resort to anyone traveling to San Pedro!

Mata Rocks is a quaint little resort where the staff attended to all our needs. The food was great and the service was even better. We were looking for an affordable place to enjoy the island and this one fit the bill perfectly. It’s a nice visit back to a time before big resorts towered over the landscape.

Smaller resort so the Staff gets to know you and made the stay very personable. Cute oceanfront room setup. Ocean in this area is all walled. Swimming mainly with snorkel outings at the resorts on the east side of the island.

We loved our stay at the Mata Rocks. The resort is quiet but sits beautifully on the ocean. There is a restaurant and bar which has great WiFi and is right on the water. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were very accommodating. We loved it!
