Mata Rocks Resort

Mata Rocks is a very special place. Maybe “Boutique Hotels” are all so personal and familiar. I found this aspect charming. They could perhaps be a little less tight with what, in my opinion, should be expectations of provisions of basic creature comforts, but I understand budgets of a small place could be to blame. We loved it there. Would definitely recommend

We had the best time at Mata Rocks. We enjoyed the cozy room and loved the beach bar. It was nice getting to know the staff. We will definty visit again. Only thing I would ask for is better Wifi in the rooms.

Great place. Like living with family but on a beach in Belize, with pickleball. Loved it. Will return.

Mata Rocks is not a bad property, but the slick photography makes it look more luxurious than it is. The bathroom is teeny and the wifi does not work unless you are outside the room, which can be irritating. Nice location, nice staff

This property is aging a bit. That said, staff were great and it quiet and small.

The staff of Mata Rocks was great. When we asked for a small frig for our room with kitchenette they were quick to find one. Though we initially had no hot water the staff fixed this within an hour. Bar menu is limited for food but drinks are amazing (try the Mata-colada...yum!) Only recommendation for kitchenette would be a small microwave to reheat left overs and a few cooking utensils. Also, all of the staff were very helpful when recommending local places to go. A great location for enjoying local food and culture south of San Pedro. Overall very well priced, and we would stay here again.

This was an amazing spot! Especially for a couples getaway. The staff is amazing and super accommodating.

The staff is absolutely incredible and will cater to your needs. They make you feel at home yet want you to make the most of your vacation. We spent over a week at Mata Rocks and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Excellent staff and great location to every where. Rooms needed TV’s or FRIGID miSSING, but was able to get one when we asked. Lively resort, comfortable beds. Wifi available most days. Would definitely visit again, as long as Hari and Javier are there!
