Hotel desk clerk was very friendly and helpfulneeds some updates but still clean and ok though a little difficult to find in the dark at night

Well for starters they over NO breakfast as stated. Tried to shower in the morning and no hot water. When I called front desk, they told me I had to wait because other people were showering. I then took a cold shower as I was running late for a Trade Show I was in town for. I made sure I took my shower that night instead of taking the chance agsin of getting cold water! Kinda sketchy looking when you pull in but I was fine, if my wife and kids were with me, I probably would not have stayed!

There were wires hanging outside and the TV didn't work in the room.

Wifi did not work, TV did not work, local area as well as venue was worrisome for a young woman to be staying in alone.

There is a large for sale sign in the front and the buildings are not kept. We didn't stay

This property while older was extremely clean! I was impressed with the room that included a good sized refrigerator and microwave. It was coveniently located to shopping and restaurants. No noise and felt very safe. The owner was gracious and was anxious to hear how we enjoyed our stay. We will be going back.

This hotel was just okay. When we checked in the staff was really great. I think it was the owners, a lovely husband and wife team, and they're very nice people. The room was set up kind of oddly with the bathroom sink, not in the bathroom but right outside the bathroom door, which to me was not very sanitary (I didn't like having to touch the doorknob after using the bathroom without being able to wash my hands. I hope they really clean those doorknobs in between guests!) The beds and bedding were clean but very uncomfortable and the remote for the television didn't work for anything other than changing the channels on the TV. I really liked the fact that this hotel is very close to restaurants, stores, etc. That was very handy. I do wish, since they advertise coffee in the common area, that they actually had coffee in the lobby in the morning. The day we were checking out I went down to the lobby to see if they had coffee and I couldn't get back in my room - the room key cards had already been deactivated. Checkout is at 11 AM and I got myself locked out of my room at 7:30 AM so I didn't really appreciate that fact. Thankfully I wasn't traveling alone so I did have people to let me in the room. Overall the room was okay and I might consider staying there again if the need arises.

Inside the rooms is much nicer than the outside. Tv was good last night. This morning hardly any channels with come in. Was a quiet night. And there are some things to do that we found by chance and are going to do today before heading to our final destination, Lake George.

easy to find location near to a lot of things, i had a good time in Utica and had a safe clean place to stay, i will do it again.

For what it was, it was just fine. We arrived close to 11pm and left at 8am, so it was merely a quick stopover. Suited this purpose perfectly, but would not want to stay longer because the establishment is overall a bit tired. True, they have done great renovations since the poor reviews were posted, so no worries about it not being clean, etc. IT IS. Just not a "vacation" spot.
