1898 Waverly Inn

Wonderful stay at the 1898 Waverly Inn! Super nice host, great location- walk to downtown. Tasteful breakfast choices, best Happy / Social hour of any B&B we have stayed at. Clean comfortable room, updated bathroom. Absolute 5 STAR experience.

The Waverly is a quiet comfortable B & B. We enjoyed a 4 day stay in Hendersonville and the Waverly was perfect walking distance for us two 65+ seniors. We highly recommend!

Our stay was actually a 10 it was so nice. The owner & staff were wonderful. We had an awesome evening on the porch & a great breakfast the following morning. We will certainly go back again soon

Beautiful furnishings, modern bathroom. Breakfast was simple and delicious with plenty of options. Book library with old volumes. DVD and board game library too. The front porch and 2nd floor balcony give off "grandma's house" vibes. Plenty of free parking on the side street. Mike was a lovely and accommodating host. I left some baggage behind and he was so good about it, kept my items safe until they got collected. Perfect location for exploring the area. Just loved it here.

We spent last week up in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Hendersonville is a wonderful place to visit with a pedestrian-friendly downtown, a thriving culinary scene, local shopping, and a collection of wineries, breweries, and cideries. Most importantly to us, it is located very near hundreds of distinctive hiking trails. We stayed at a lovely B&B called the Waverly, established in 1898. The staff is awesome, knowledgeable and recommended great places to eat and hike. The room was inviting and breakfast was so very good, and they even had an evening social hour with complimentary beverages and charcuterie. We were here 20 years ago and the time between stays has been way too long. We'll be back sooner to enjoy the Inn and the area!

Luckily, or by divine intervetnion, the Inn was the perfect place for my visit. I've never been in the area but I was drawn here when booking my stay. After arriving, I felt I was there at the Inn, in the right place, for so many reasons. I met family at Pardee Hospital & locally, to visit some. My room was such an inviting, warm, & comfortable space on the third floor, it was perfect for all that I needed. I love history & you can feel that the Inn is full of it. I wandered around marveling at the architecture, admiring the furnishings in each room, the board games, card games, books in the library, movies available, & enjoying the story of its life & all of its history. I loved the morning coffee, the local newspaper, and my extremely comfortable bed. I came & went, many times not seeing anyone. The interactions I did have were most pleasant & welcomed. Highly recommend to all, as it certainly caters to such a wide range of people & personalities. I travel with my own sound machine, being a light sleeper, which I highly recommend for all, or ear plugs maybe.

Well-kept home. Comfortable room. Great happy hour and breakfast the next morning. Would highly recommend!

The building is beautiful

I didn’t like being on the third floor, it really should say that in the description for the room. The beds are terrible, between hard beds and so much road noise we got no sleep, breakfast was disappointing, not a traditional bed and breakfast, more like a hotel breakfast. Definitely not worth the total we paid.

This our second yr staying always a great experience. Definitely recommend Waverly inn and their great staff if u want a nice relaxing time then this is where to go. Great breakfast everyday.
