Inn at Jackson

We arrived and no one was at the front desk; our key and room number were in an envelope on the desk. We found the room and let ourselves in. The deadbolt would not latch and I called to see if it could be repaired - and was told that no one would come and that they never use the deadbolt which was placed there by previous owner. Although the Inn was mostly empty they would not move us to another room. They would give us a refund and we could try and find someplace else but assured us that Jackson was a safe community and the door handle lock was sufficient; after driving hours to get there we decided to simply lock the door handle and barricade the door. The breakfast was great and the manager was friendly and helped with suggestions on what to see in the area. The room was large and comfortable. Water pressure was poor (we were on top floor). Overall the Inn was okay if more self-service than we would like and that reviews led us to believe.

The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was great! However, our shower did not work and the toilet had its issues. Room was also smaller than we expected.

It is in a very good location close to rivers and the front yard is very nice. I liked thebold countryside house style as well.

The only thing I didn't like was that when I was trying to unclog the toilet, literally a stiff old turd came out the plunger and couldn't be flushed down, so I had to grab it with some toilet paper and putting it in a bag and then disposed in the dumpster outside.

Inn was very nice, would stay again.

A little more money than other area hotels, no fridge or microwave in room.

We have stayed at this inn numerous times since 2007 and decided to trying again in June of 2024. We knew it had changed hands but what a disappointment. Inn is very shabby. In need of an overhaul. We were to,d our room had recently been refreshed but it was hard to tell. Very little interaction with the inn staff. The owner is off site and obviously has no interest in the inn. Breakfast was mediocre. Common areas which used to be well kept and enjoyed by guests are hardly used. Hot tub was worn, deck areas broken. So sad to wee a once fun well kept in in this condition. A poor choice for the money

Check-in was a little different as you came up to the desk. There was an envelope with my name on it. There was no staff available, but we found our room easily. It is dated but neat and clean. Breakfast was excellent as someone cooked it individually for us.
