Didn’t live up to description, timed warped , decrepit building .. if I could have changed hotels I would have done. Good points : Location Breakfast not bad I wasn’t thrilled

The hotel is dated, but not in a good way. The photos are old and do not reflect the current condition of the hotel. You won't find crisp white sheets as described. General maintenance has not been done for many decades. The hotel would benefit from a thorough deep clean. My kettle was even unusable due to poor hygiene. I arrived and I thought the place had closed down. I was surprised when the front door opened. Luckily I had only booked in for one night. I must say the breakfast was okay and the staff were polite. It might have been okay choice twenty years ago, but not now.

I arrived at the property to find it did not resemble the photographs in your advert. The outside of the building, the mess and items of broken signage and rubbish including old food and cigarettes still outside the property. I then asked to see the bedrooms and wa exceedingly disappointed and told the manager and her assistant that I could not possibly stay there even for one night let alone one week. She agreed I would not be charged and cancelled the booking. The house was extremely dirty, disorganised and less than inviting especially with the Covid situation I could not take the risk.

Value for money wise it was outstanding. We got a full-English breakfast as part of the overall price and complimentary tea/coffee in the twin bedroom. We were able to store our bikes inside in a safe/secure place. Don't expect perfection. It is an old building with all the characteristics of old buildings. Regulating the hot/cold water in the shower was challenging but I managed it. A hook for hanging the shower on the wall was broken but other than that it was fine. It was a great base for the 1/2 way point of a 2-day bike tour around the Isle of Wight. If it is value for money you are after then I do not think you will find better on the Island.

Decent hotel close to Shanklin beach and the train station. Breakfast was good. Only problem is the hallway to the rooms - less space.

Old building and nit very well maintained rooms. Expected more. Staff and breakfast was good.
