Vino Bello Resort

Stayed here 2 times. The location is off the beaten path but not far from a new Costco now. There are not many places to eat nearby so a quick drive is needed. The grounds are nice and you can walk among the vineyards in the back, and to the big statue. The 1 bedroom suite has been our favorite, very comfortable. The rooms need attention though. Both times we had issues with our dishwashers not working. One time the shower dials wouldn't work correctly. The repairman came to switch it out, which put a damper to our first night. On top of that, when we booked through a 3rd party, we were billed some resort fees days later.

With the upcoming new management team coming this year, I have noticed a big improvement in the property. The common grounds are much cleaner. The housekeep staff is doing a excellent job of bring back the original service of when the property first opened. Having been just renovated, the bed are very comfortable, the new furnishing look great. However, the telephone service needs help, there are times when you are put on hold and there is no response. There is now a coffee service for owners in the lobby. If you come and you are new, take advantage of coming to the updates in your ownership. It's very informative and I have found many things that I have never taken advantage of being a owner. Please go not remove items from the room and fitness room as there are fewer weigh dumbbells and some kitchen are items are missing when you sometimes need them when you are preparing a meal. There are larger TV's in the rooms but the channel selections need updating. All in all, this resort is a wonderful great away fron the everyday routine.

Possibly a nice resort but we will never know because they chose to cancel our 6 month in advance booking a few weeks out without any explanation. All efforts to contact them have been ignored so we had to stay elsewhere at short notice and pay much more. We had written confirmation of our bookings but these were ultimately worthless.

It didn't start great, we arrived on Saturday evening, and our one bedroom apartment that had been booked months in advance wasn't available, so we were given a $150 credit and stayed one night in a studio, not much of a hardship tbh. There was a gig on at the resort (Air Supply) who sounded excellent, I suspect that the resort sells already booked rooms when these gigs are on to gain extra revenue. Parking is at a premium, and sometimes we had to park a distance from our apartment, which was spacious, clean and comfortable. One slight negative, they have a pigeon problem, and our top floor balcony needed sweeping everyday. The pool area was very comfortable, and there was always space and beds available. Staff around the resort and cleaning staff were all friendly, but the front desk team could do with cheering up! On the occasions I had to speak to the front desk, most were with unfriendly and dis interested staff, not ideal for a front of house roll. Overall though a very nice resort, and we had a great week there.

I really enjoy this resort. I enjoy Vino Bello and Meritage. I like that there are pools, beautiful grounds, and a variety of restaurants, and wine tasting available. The concierge are very helpful in assisting you plan your time in Napa. There are lots of activities to do, or you can just relax at the resort.

This place is amazing, but for reasons unknown, there is a two night super loud concert series here in the summer almost every weekend. Why they do that in a hotel complex where people are trying to relax is beyond me. Stay here when there is no concert, because other than that, we loved this place.

The coffee shop was nice. Our 1 bedroom was nice, spacious and it appeared up-to-date.

Not sure where to start. Once we arrived, we were told our reservation was cancelled. I asked who cancelled and they couldn't/wouldn't say. We made the reservation thru booking.com. The front desk team member (Lux) wrote down a phone number on a piece off scratch paper and slid it across the counter and said, "your reservation was cancelled and your location was changed, you need to call this number." What? Either Vino Bella or booking.com made a mistake and I need to call a number for a resolution? I don't think so, "I need to speak with a supervisor, I've already paid $1700 for this 3 night stay." And, I showed her the email I received earlier in the day confirming our check-in. (I'm sure Lux was doing as she was told, but the indifference in her demeanor was apparent.) Apparently this was OUR problem to solve? She connected me with Xavier (at the next window and probably the one giving her the direction). We reserved and paid for a 1-bedroom for 3 nights, Xavier said they didn't have a 1-bedroom available. After them telling us to call a number, they found a studio for the first night and would move us to a 1-bedroom for the following 2 nights. A valid solution since they filled our 1-bedroom. After he checked with the other supervisor [in the back room], he said they would comp the first night, and only charge nights 2-3. Fair enough, though inconvenient having to move after one night. Booking.com refunded the $1700, and the nightly rates for the 2 nights (direct with Vino Bello) was ~$1400, at this point, we were done arguing with the staff and just accepted the rates. There were other more desirable places we would have stayed had we known we would be paying $700/night. A few other issues: no service at the Vino Bello pool (I think they had service at the other pools, not sure.) We rented an EV car for the first (and last) time.
