Close to town.

Hotel is undergoing renovation. Squeaky floorboard on main floors and noisy heaters. Room was not soundproofed well. There is no centralized heating in room. No microwave.

Location

Elevator didn’t work. Shower was very small and outdated. Strong perfume smell in lobby. Parking was difficult to get out of. We had the king suite and the room itself was very plain.

The location was good for our stay

- the elevator didn't work - the online photos did not represent the room

it was located downtown, very walkable to food & shopping - adequate, no frills accommodations for 1 person

no parking available on site - not even to unload when checking in. to park for the night i had to walk a few blocks to Cooper Lot (free) which was not at all convenient especially after dark & walking alone. the 'cozy' room was very small & plain - i understand that they are still renovating, but it was not reflected in the rates i paid for my stay.

Room was clean and neat. Bathroom was small but efficient. Excellent large new shower ! but no grab bars for senior ! Top notch location !! All restaurants within 300 yards including the Avon theatre.

Elevator out of commission ! Clerk helped carry our bags to 2nd floor. Looked like the 1st floor was going under renovations. A street map of the area would have been nice for walking. Overall the location of the hotel was 10/10 !! Paid parking at the hotel was good, although public parking was directly across the street.
