Once again, an amazing experience here in Shangri-La, which always makes up come back every time we tour the Philippines. Staff that stood out, Lobby Lounge Bar was Alva and Nicole. Made great drinks, always check on us, and did their best to make sure we were comfortable, they got a fan to keep us cool! Ocean Club, Frank and Edison. Both Amazing. Made sure we were well taken cared of and even prepared us items that were off menu! Cowie Crow, Belle was great. Explained the menu and asked all our questions and always made sure we had water in our glasses at all times! She even toured us around and help take pictures at the restaurant and The Observatory! Staff at Adventure Zone were great as well as they took care of our kids and made sure they were entertained on their visit! Help them out with all the activities they participated in. Our shooting star of the team was Daphne from Guest Relationships. As soon as we step in to the resort till we drove away to the airport, took care of my family and I the whole time. Helped us out with our plans and gave suggestions on where to eat and gave us some tips and tricks to use around the resort! Thank you Shangri-La Staff. Can’t wait to come back and have a great time soon!

"Not the Shangri-La experience we were expecting"

After staying at another Shangri-La property in Hong Kong, we were expecting this to be another amazing hotel.. we were quite wrong. The Shangri-La in Cebu has beautiful views and beach, but is let down by the overall maintenance of the building. The rooms are really tired, the TV is very outdated and the overall feel is that the hotel needs a full renovation. Our bathroom in particular was filthy inbetween the tiles and the bath was stained. The hotel lobby ceiling looked like it would fall through in places, and on our third night, it did just that! Breakfast is extremely busy at times and there are not enough staff working to meet the demand. Overall we are disappointed with our stay and think the chain should invest some money back into the property, especially at the rates they charge per night.
