A beautuful hotel conveniently located near the airport. Facilities are amazing. We, family of 6 were not bored at all although we spent most of time in the resort. The private beach was the best.

We stayed at Shangri-La Mactan with our young child 6 year old for his birthday for 3 nights and it was one of the smoothest, most enjoyable resort experiences we've had as a family. Crystal-clear water, colorful fish right off the shore, you can feed the fish and snorkel as the hotel offers private beach area for the visitors. The beach is calm and safe for little ones, and the staff are attentive. Rooms were spacious — plenty of space for a family, great blackout curtains for nap time, and housekeeping, amenities were delivered if you order through shangrila app. They offer various kinds of amenities from pillows to your kids travel kit. It is not new, so there won't be a new touch towards it, but it is maintained pretty well. The hotel also offers birthday special cake and balloons. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had at a resort — huge variety, always fresh. Up to 0730am, not packed, but you need to wait a little after 830am. At Buko Bar we were able to get various kinds of cocktails. We loved the pina colada the most : fresh cut and mixed straight off-take out available. For dinner dining we used grab to take us to house of lechon (30minute drive),or if you want high end dinnet experience, there's "Le Petit" cebu (10minute drive). You can also use grab delivery for a quick fast food(takes bit longer). Kids playground offers 1hr/ 2hrs session and provided kids activities. Add on a little more you can have your little ones experience decorating jewel box to creating your own wind chimes. Gym is not 24/7 so make sure to go before 2130. There's also a helper you can hire to take care of your child as well. Staff deserve a special mention. Warm, genuine, patient with kids — exactly what you need when traveling with a toddler. Highly recommend for families. We've been to shangri la in different places, and they offer great experience for family visitors. Definitely will come back again.

Where do I begin? If you're looking for a family getaway that literally has it all, THIS IS IT. We only spent 3 nights here but those 3 nights were perfect. Mornings at the beach feeding the fish and swimming in the ocean, afternoons at the pool with fresh coconuts, and a marvellous buffet dinner with a cultural show on select nights. The staff go out of their way to make sure your comfort is their top priority. The food at every restaurant is incredible - even poolside! There's a kids menu at every restaurant, which is a bonus for picky eaters. The spa is luxurious, so don't skip out on a spa treatment. Our daughter didn't want to go to the indoor playground, but it's large and has a lot of fun slides. Just make sure to bring long pants, long sleeves, and socks for it. The resort also has numerous activities throughout the day for both adults and kids. We did a cooking lesson with our daughter and the chef at Tides - so much fun! And we got to keep what we made. Lots of family memories were made here. I highly recommend visiting in early May, as the rainy season hasn't fully settled in yet and the flowers are in full bloom. I also recommend weekdays when we went if you're looking for a more peaceful visit. It's much quieter at the resort and much easier to get beach chairs or pool chairs, and much easier to book reservations at the restaurants. We were there from Monday to Thursday, with Monday to Wednesday being quiet and Thursday being the busier day.

We had our wedding here back in 2025, and it was absolutely fantastic. They really do take care of you, and the food is amazing. Shan was a wonderful attendant. She was there with me the whole time, so I wouldn’t have to worry about anything on my wedding day. She even brought the leftovers we forgot to our room. We were also lucky enough to have Ronilo as our butler at the Manumbalik Villa. He truly made our stay so special. He was on top of everything from booking our couple’s massages to setting up the champagne and flowers in our tub.
