AP Adriana Beach Resort

We previously visited the hotel as a couple in 2018 and loved it so much that we wanted to return with our young family (aged 3&5). Whilst we still cannot fault the cleanliness, setting, staff of the resort, the one HUGE difference is the food. Previously there was a designated children’s section with pasta, fries, nuggets, fish fingers every night and also each night in the buffet had a theme so it was always exciting and fresh. This time around our children survived on fries and bread from the buffet…. At lunch and dinner. On a few occasions it was extremely difficult to make a cohesive meal from the offerings at the buffet, although individual items were usually tasty and warm. The addition of the small splash park, slide in kids pool and updated park facilities was a bonus. We were return guests this time….but would we come back with our young family….that is doubtful due to the food offerings.

Just returned to the Uk after a 10 night stay as a party of 4 ( husband and 2 daughters aged 21 and 16yrs). Wonderful village like feeling, relaxing and many options and activities if you want things to do. Accommodation functional and clean. Quiet and peaceful at night with good air conditioning if you need it. We were in blocks H and N opposite each other, positioned in between the quieter pool at the grill end and main reception next to bigger and more active pool area. Path outside our property led over to the steps onto the beach. Fabulous algarve beach, beautiful sand and lovely features to the cliffs to the back. We loved going to the grill for breakfast and lunch and relaxing on the sun loungers on the grassy area near the pine trees with the pool close by. Buffet always a great and varied choice of food which all in our group were happy with. Can’t understand the reviews that say no choice - this is not true! We visited albuferia and Vilamoura a couple of times but loved the marina at Vilamoura in the evening, definitely worth a visit. The daytime and evening activity entertainment team were fabulous, lovely personalities, exceptionally talented and skilled with dancing, acting and a great range of shows from Brazilian dancing, Elvis Presley show and a comedy sketch. Entertainment varied location to an outdoor terrace and an indoor theatre to allow more guests to view the shows. Great live band on the last night. All staff were friendly and helpful even when very busy. I would agree with the comments regarding not enough coffee/hot drinks machines. They would break down regularly and took up a lot of time for staff to sort and a source of stress at busier times. We loved staying at Adrianna Resort and wouldn’t hesitate coming back to stay. This is a stunning resort hotel with mixed nationalities visiting. On booking we had not realised how far out from Albufeira town this hotel was however, you had everything you needed on site. Evening entertainment could result in the bar entertainment area being very overcrowded. Food was plentiful and lovely. Drinks were weak throughout our stay felt very watered down. Our apartment was a distance away from the main hotel area and we had to rely on the pick up service to get us back and forth due to mobility issues, as long as you give this lots of time to arrive you will be fine. Some seating outside apartments would be useful whilst waiting on pick up as standing in the very warm evening sun whilst having mobility issues was not very pleasant. Overall experience was very good and I would return.

The lifeguards at the beach do seem to love a bit of social media - probably more entertaining than staring at the sea for hours on end.

We spent a week at the Adriana Beach resort and truly had the best week. We couldn’t fault the resort. It was extremely clean, everyone was friendly and helpful. The main swimming pool was brilliant, with a smaller pool and splash park also available. A short walk to the beach, which had amazing views. The highlight of our holiday was the animation team, who were all fantastic. Putting on entertainment from morning until late evening. Something for all ages, young and old. Everyone in the animation team were super friendly, they went above and beyond. They are a credit to the resort. We would definitely recommend and would go back and stay again.

Pros- - beautifully kept grounds. Gardens are gorgeous. - friendly staff. - entertainment team were very good. Plenty going on for kids & adults alike. - access to beach. - in an isolated area which was nice actually. It felt very safe with young children & there wasn’t an unfavourable clientele. - hotel shop selling snacks, pool toys etc. Although it is expensive. - Food is good quality. Three different dining experiences to choose from. Some food prepared in front of you. - A good drinks menu. Ice cream available all day for kids. Soft drinks, cocktails, wine, cider, beers etc. - Main pool a good size. Smaller pool for little ones & a splash park. Poolside is cleaned at the end of everyday & kept very well. - staff understanding of English is very good. Puts us English speaking nations to shame. - Snack times. Morning snacks are breakfast left overs so you can have a lie in if you wish. Afternoon snacks are burgers, ham & cheese toasties, donuts, muffins, fruit, cheese. No chance of going hungry at Adriana!! Cons- - The area means that a lot was spent on Ubers to visit other places. - The pathways are cracked/lifting in places. Someone could easily fall. - Buggies were not available for family who checked out at 5am. It was difficult to juggle a baby & all luggage. - Food very repetitive. Themed nights would be good for a bit of variety. - In one week I don’t think bed clothes were changed at all. Beds were made but not changed. - room size differs greatly. Some are good size, others are quite small for families. - During meal times in the main buffet, cutlery & glasses often ran out. Staff do their absolute best to get them out again ASAP but it can be frustrating. - Beach sun loungers. Not good! Very few & there is no way of getting others added. We sat on towels on the sand. As a family we would definitely return to Adriana Beach Resort. Thank you to all staff for their hard work, all of your hard work contributes to the great experience!

If this review were based solely on cleanliness I would’ve given 5*. The hotel is spotless, the grounds are beautiful & so well kept. The pool is clean, rooms are spotless & so are restaurants. The food is average, which I’ve come to expect from an all inclusive. It’s difficult to keep that mass amount of food hot & so it’s likely by the time you sit down to eat your eat you’re likely to find it is lukewarm or even cold. During my stay I found choices weren’t great, particularly for children. I found it difficult to get my daughter something to eat other than chips & pizza. The snack time between lunch & dinner had much better options in my opinion, including burgers, chicken nuggets & onion rings! There are quite a few flies around the main restaurant & on several occasions I witnessed flies landing on food at the buffet, particularly at breakfast in the bakery area. I do believe some form of cover would be ideal for this area to prevent contamination from flies. The staff are very lovely & helpful! The animation team are amazing, full of Joy & enthusiasm & the evening entertainment (when outside) was wonderful! My daughter adored the mini discos! I truly loved the location! I enjoyed being out of the busyness of Albufeira where I stayed last year, yet only a short distance from it & vilamoura when we fancied a wee trip! The beach is beautiful, however, I would note there are little resort sun loungers when you get to the bottom of the steps to the beach & unless you’re willing to walk a good distance up the beach you have to set up camp on the sand. My sister had read a review saying there was a hut belonging to the resort where you could get your all inclusive drinks from - we did not see this, if it does exist, it would require a rather lengthy walk that, if you have small children with you, may not be ideal. Upon check in at the hotel, they are great & get you a golf cart to your room (as rooms can be quite far away from reception, we however, enjoyed our little walks through the beautiful grounds each day) to assist you with luggage etc. However, as mentioned the rooms can be quite a distance from the main reception where transfers do pick ups & if you are leaving early in the morning for your flight home staff do not assist you with your baggage from your room which I found incredibly shocking as we are a family with a young child & several bags of luggage. It turned out that our transfer company were amazing and picked myself up at reception & allowed me to then guide them toward the room to pick up baggage. If some of these little things were fixed I would not hesitate to give this hotel a ‘good rating’ & would definitely visit again!

Great place.. my 7 year old grand daughter , first tome in Portugal , very excited , first time on a jet aorcraft... the place was absuletely petfect... unfortinally a couple from Holland traumatized her, by yelling at her amd swearing at her for being excited.. it ended that trip of great memories that she will remember that... not the Resort fault, but it was well handled by security petsonell that helped and staff ... Karma will get them!! Ruined a little happy go lucky vacation on her last day. Inocent little girl that loved the amenities and sang and danced... she is now quiet and stop dancing and singing from the interactioin of these two awful people ...

We visited for a week , a little dubious after reading some negative reviews. Need not have worried, the hotel is superb, such a lovely setting rooms are spread around the complex giving it a village feel. We were situated near the quiet pool, maybe if we had of been located elsewhere I might have a negative in my review. The view from the room overlooked the pool, the room itself was clean, daily housekeeping which you could not fault , bathroom a good size, great shower always hot water, hairdryer , shower gel provided. A good size room and balcony, my only gripe was having to hire the kettle, no tea. / coffee in room, if you bring your own milk available in dining areas. Small fridge in room, water provided on arrival then water stations to refill, another small gripe here having to refill daily. Food plentiful, good selection of hot and cold, the desserts were ok not as much choice as other hotels we have visited, but stopped me from over indulging. The pork was delicious, pizzas at lunch amazing, salad bar so varied and fresh. Snacks available through the afternoon again fresh and varied, the marble cake was mouthwatering. Drinks great, good measures, beer easy to drink , some lovely cocktails. Sometimes the wait at the bar could be endless, only one serving with no rush at all. Majority of staff were lovely, pleasant, friendly and very professional. Albufeira was a taxi ride away we visited twice and used Ubers , prompt and cheap a definite recommendation. Albufeira is a lovely place the old town is beautiful, had we been staying longer would definitely have gone back. Cannot fault this hotel, would return in a heartbeat, no rushing for sun beds at silly o’clock, a chilled , relaxed holiday in a lovely environment. Thank you AP Adrianna. 👌

Great hotel We were here 2 years ago and have come back again this year So many improvements for kids etc which is amazing Great selection of drinks and food Entertainment staff were amazing! Rooms clean and serviced regularly Shower great Room has a small fridge Would recommend taking own milk for kids my little girl didn't like the milk for breakfast but nothing major Highly recommend Handy to albuferia in Uber and nice walk to Marina via beach if you like to walk
