Excellent accommodations include breakfast, a beautiful home and gardens, wonderful hostesses and host, a nice location, the history, and was exceptionally comfortable and clean. Love the rendition given by the hosts about the historical semblance of the home! The 5:00 mocktail and snack plate given inside and outside is so enjoyable and a great way to meet everyone. We enjoyed such a pleasant time in Charleston being helped with advice on where to eat, what to see, and how to get there! A 10!

Amazing property in a great location! Well appointed rooms and lovely “happy hour” and breakfast. The house is stunning and the staff exceptional.

South Battery is a row of classic mansions at the tip of the peninsula where Charleston sits. This hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished with period furniture. For an older building, very quiet. There’s minimal noise from the park and seawall across the street, where you can go and watch the sunset over the Ashley River. The house, itself, is stunning. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Would gladly return. Is about a 10 minute walk to any restaurants or coffee shops, but it’s a pretty walk. Plenty of pedal cabs, ubers, etc., if you don’t wanna walk.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Decided to splurge on a swanky place in the Battery for my first stay in Charleston. The room was lovely, the staff super helpful and kind. It is also a perfect location to park your car and just walk. So glad I decided to stay here.

this is our second time staying at 20 S. battery and we loved it just as much as the first time! It was actually part of the we returned to Charleston for the weekend. The staff is just the best and it’s just such a fun experience in location in town would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a historic and quaint stay in a walkable neighborhood. hope to be back soon!

This is THE place to stay if you want to be amongst the locals. A quiet immersion into the old low country. Leave behind the hustle of a city. This neighborhood meets the old south taking you back in time to enjoy slowing down. Listening to a grandfather clock tick while sitting on the veranda. This is a time to soak in Charleston in the luxury of an amazing mansion.

20 South Battery is a gem. My husband and I wanted to stay near the water in the historic district so we could walk. This was perfect! We stayed in the carriage house. The beautiful garden area will surely be a wonderful place to sit in warmer weather. It was chilly and rainy during our stay. Our room had very high ceilings so the heater was having a difficult time warming it up. Abigail was so kind to get us a small space heater. It worked like magic. Each person was able to choose their own breakfast and dining time the evening before. Our food each morning was delicious! We visited the nightly reception and met some lovely people staying there, as well. The signature mocktail was tasty (probably why we went to the reception every night). Molly was helpful with dinner restaurant suggestions! Definitely go to one of the daily tours of the mansion during your stay. There is so much history and many fascinating stories to be shared. You will enjoy your stay here and there are many walkable restaurants, shops, parks, and attractions.
