Access Resort & Villas - SHA Plus

I had read some reviews and actually asked to cancel but we are glad we didn’t . This is not a luxury hotel but a lovely holiday hotel with the most lovely staff and beautiful rooms and gardens. Breakfast was simple and fresh. The restaurant is an open pavilion style with fans and shade which just made breakfast really lovely. Rooms were nicer than a lot of luxury ones I have stayed in.

The beds are slightly on the hard side and could really do with a mattress protector with a big of give.

We love the swim up rooms the size and quality of the room is lovely. Worth every penny second staying there and will be back.

The only negative is there is no storage for your clothes otherthan a wardrobeand a tiny drawer. We pointed this out to the manger who hopefully will put drawers in when they refurbish the blue wing rooms.

Free shuttle to Karon, great breakfast, pool side cocktail on blue area , great room size as close to resturtant

Just arrived home after amazing 3 week stay at Access resort and villas...we loved it especially the swim up pool. Staff are brilliant all helpful and always had a smile.. Breakfast was enough many choices and the egg and noodle stations perfect. Can't fault this hotel we will definitely back ...

The Access resort and villas is a nice place to stay but I wouldnt say that it is a 4 star. While the food areas were always spotlessly clean the pool areas and the pool its self was not. The pool area regularly had cigarette butts and drink stains on the tiles and wasnt cleaned regularly neither were the sunbeds. The pool itself had grit and dirt in the bottom and plastic bottles in it and there were scum marks on the tiled sides of the pool and we had to prompt the staff to have someone clean the debris. Our room was lovely but the cleaner wouldnt always give us fresh drinking glasses or enough towels. We also noticed that we didnt get as good a maid service as other guests ie towels folded creatively, floors washed, fresh pool towels and bathroom cleaned everyday. We could only assume that this is because we dont tend to tip everyday but at the end of the holiday we leave a larger tip and the other guests we spoke with did leave a tip at least every other day.Having the swim up room was nice but there are patio roofs that are not retractable so you tend not to get the sun on the patio of the swim up for very much of the day. The sunbeds are hard as rocks. The food and cocktails are very good and a very reasonable price and as the bars are swim up its handy to be able to to open a tab rather than trying to bring money into the pool. Over all we enjoyed our stay here but there is room for improvement

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our 2 weeks in Thailand, lovely relaxing hotel with swim up room, staff were lovely & friendly, breakfast was good especially the egg station, bed was smaller than the previous 2 hotels we had stayed in, limited storage, would say our room was a bit tired looking especially the bathroom which could do with being updated & the doors also (room 170) , everything lovely & clean though, staff work hard. The road outside is super busy with no pavement so was a bit of a nightmare walking down & back each night to restaurants/ bars etc, shuttle bus to beach twice a day 10am & 2pm just one way, had a relaxing couple of days before heading home.

From the moment we arrived, everything has been beautiful and spotless. The whole hotel feels calm, welcoming and so well looked after. Our swim-up room has been the highlight of our stay. Stepping straight from our room into the pool every day has felt like pure luxury. We absolutely loved it. As it’s our honeymoon, the team added such thoughtful touches to our room, with gorgeous towel decorations and romantic details that made us feel really special. It meant so much to us. The spa is slightly more expensive than the massage places you’ll find along the road, but only by a little, and the service and quality make it completely worth it. I was there every other day. The treatments were incredible and so relaxing. The reception staff have been amazing from start to finish, always friendly, helpful and smiling. The swim-up bar team were brilliant too and made our afternoons so enjoyable. Everything here has been excellent. The cleanliness, the atmosphere, the rooms, the pool, and most of all the people. Just amazing all round. Thank you for making our honeymoon so special. We will never forget our stay here. Victoria & Lee

We stayed at the Access Resort Villas for two weeks. We were well looked after by staff and nothing was too much trouble....we loved the location of our room and would definitely return to the tranquil days spent around our room and pool area. The swim up rooms are just perfect. The house keeping team work tirelessly and clean the rooms daily. We met Mr Troy who was exceptionally kind and couldn't do enough for all the visitors, his English is also very good which helped with communication difficulties at times. Mr Troy is an amazing person and a real asset to this hotel. All staff were wonderful in their own right. Make sure you get the mosquito cream on from 5.30 pm, advised by the locals. We would definitely return. We visited a number of different islands that was breathtakingly beautiful, Bamboo Island being my my favourite, it's a real shame that you only spend approx. half on hour on each of the four Islands visited. The Elephant Sanctuary was worth a visit too, don't forget to grab an umbrella as the heat is very intense. When out and about there are parts of Thailand you would want to protect young children from. Some older men with the young girls had no boundaries, it's difficult for an adult to witness so you would never want a child to witness some of the adults behaviour.
