Lodge at Whitefish Lake

everything was as advertised This place is heaven and not many compare to the setting and the accomodations we had all ages and everyone was happy

The room feels rustic, yet luxurious. View of luscious greenery outside, made better only by the door that you can step out of and breathe the fresh mountain air. It was so peaceful. Relaxing by the fire to read was great. Even the chair was extra comfy. Bed was beyond comfortable. I slept like a bear in hibernation. Entering the lobby you immediately fee the cozy atmosphere reminiscent of an old family hunting lodge, complete with a Moose mount above the fireplace.

My room wasn't ready at check-in time and it was a long wait. That was the only reason it didn't get 10 stars.

Stayed in one of the houses and it was amazing, very comfortable, nicely decorated, fully equipped and clean. The view to the forest added an extra cozy touch to the place. We felt at home there.

Cleaning lady from hotel could have come and clean at some point of our stay or at least ask for a clean set of towels.

We stayed at The Lodge at Whitefish and while there are a few positives, overall it just didn’t live up to the hype—or the price tag. The good stuff: The location is definitely nice—close to town and with some pretty views of the lake from the condos. The restaurant, maintenance, and pool staff were all friendly and helpful, and the spa looked really nice (although we couldn’t get in since they said they were short-staffed). The lobby and grounds are kept up well, and the condos themselves have good bathrooms and a decent kitchen. The not-so-great: The rates are sky-high for what you actually get. The lake view is blocked by a bunch of boat docks, which kind of ruins the setting. Condo furnishings feel cheap, worn, and a bit tacky. Ours didn’t even have a washer/dryer, which was surprising. The beds weren’t very comfortable, with thin covers and no extra blankets or pillows (not great when it got chilly at night). The kitchens are bare bones—no condiments except for salt and pepper. Front desk staff was also unhelpful and even a little rude. For families, options are limited. Beyond the pool and the lake, there’s not much for kids to keep them entertained. You can't really walk around the lake and the "nature walk" suggested to us was a paved path along the highway. Bottom line: This place markets itself like a luxury resort, but it’s really mid-tier at best. Definitely not worth the premium prices they’re charging.

Food options very limited. Flies everywhere in the main dining room. Not good when paying $100.00 per person. Rooms were clean but deferred. Need updating.

Beautiful location on the lake.

Check in was not a good experience. I booked two queens and prepaid. Upon arrival, was sent to an “upgraded” loft with 1 bed and a pullout sofa. This is not acceptable as I required two queens beds. Two separate staff members tried to convince me this was an upgrade. They should have told me the change before I went to room with bags. Ultimately staff did upgrade me to a condo with two queens beds and a larger space with an extra bed…but not before I had to advocate for a different space. I did not appreciate the check in after driving many hours and arriving late at night. There was no response from mangement as requested.
