Pacific Grove Inn

Price was good, beautiful historic style hotel. Would probably not stay here again since there aren't attendants onsite, and that isn't exactly made clear in the listing for the hotel. A bit freaky to stay at a hotel with other people where there's not a person of authority to go to in case of emergency or altercation (I worked in hospitality so I know this from experience. People can be interesting to say the least.). I get staying at an AirBnb where you're the only guest and the owners offsite, but a situation like this just didn't make me feel quite comfortable. No breakfast as well, just tea and coffee. Might be a good situation for some, but I would be much likelier to come back if there were onsite attendants.

Great location. Beautiful building. Rooms were nice and clean but somewhat dated. Heat thermostat did not seem to work but there were extra blankets. Was a bit skeptical of the place when I learned there was no one onsite. If I wanted an AirBnB experience then I would have booked one. However, everything worked out except for the heater (and at 10 pm I was not going to call with help an hour away). Overall, it seems like the place could be amazing but is trying to figure out the lowest cost method of running the place. I would suggest spending a bit more money by fixing light switches (some were missing), investing in two ply toilet paper, and having tea/hot water available. I would return but would expect lower prices.

Clean room. Walking distance to the shore

Clean and charming, but noisy bedroom above the street. It’s a beautiful Victorian home with single pane windows. Bring ear plugs snd eye shades if you’re staying in a room above a street. The building’s exterior lights stay on through the night and, despite window shades, the lights perk into the room.

The property was very convenient and very close to downtown Pafific Grove and Lover's Point. The 2 bedroom of the property was amazing and very clean. I would recommend this property to everybody. My wife loves the old victorian look atmosphere. We walked over 10,000 steps everyday. You can also get picked up by an uber for a reasonable price.

This is not a B&B, it's an historic hotel with a large common area. The dining room and living room are spacious and well decorated with quality reproductions. We had a minor snafu with the door code but otherwise the checkin was a breeze. Staff were available by phone and very responsive. The woodwork is amazing, and we found the bed fairly comfortable (2nd floor room 107), as was the gas fireplace. It was spotlessly clean and perfect for a stay on our way home. The Keurig machine and shared refrigerator were welcome as we had morning coffee in the common rooms.

My wife and I had a great stay. Other than one other guest, everyone was nice and quiet. The parking situation is not great, but there was plenty of parking on the street around the property.

Elegant turn of the century decor in dining/game room, parlor & guest rooms w/fireplaces was lovely and comfortable. Will be a plus when evening social hour and continental breakfast added to amenities. Easily walkable to a variety of coffee/pastry shops & casual or fancier dining & lots of quaint shops. Perfect Pacific Grove Mother’s Day weekend 💝😍👌
